: Actually, it'd be better if the trivia sections are condensed. We've often tried to keep the trivia sections a lot smaller than they are, but the recent influx of people due to the Wiki Cap has caused a lot of useless edits. Categories won't really help, though. If you're up for it, I could dub you the trivia executioner, you'd even get a shiny userbox. Us admins are all running around to fix this stuff, so any help we can get is greatly appreciated. --[[User:Firestorm|<font color="#FF6600"><tt><big><u>'''Firestorm'''</u></big></tt></font>]] {{mod}} 05:05, 12 October 2010 (UTC) | : Actually, it'd be better if the trivia sections are condensed. About the Weapons Checklist....
Would it be OK if I were to make a version that contained no promotional or limited items (which are the Lugermorph, Big Kill, and Golden Wrench)? That way people would know that I'm only going for the regular or unlockable items, and not the ones that can be Lost Forever. AbeX300 21:25, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

- I suppose...but another question, how do I make the font go in the center and make it 7 times bigger? AbeX300 21:39, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- You can do whatever the heck you want in your own userspace. You could make a 500-line template that only works with a specific code and writes "Firestorm deserves cookies" if you wanted to. My only regret is not being online sooner so that these buffoons would not have had the opportunity to attempt to deflate my magnificent ego. --Firestorm 21:46, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

- I'll remember that, FireStorm. Now about that aligning to the center and font size... AbeX300 22:01, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

Shiv and Skullcutter
I see you removed my trivia note on the Skullcutter page with confusion over what I put. Allow me to explain. The Scotsman's Skullcutter and Tribalman's Shiv are the only weapons to have what could be called 'hat names'. That is, a certain noun followed with the weapon noun, such as Magistrate's Mullet. I felt this was worth mentioning. --Focusknock 21:32, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- I see what you mean, but it's simply a naming convention and not all hats even follow it. We try to keep trivia informative or at least interesting. --Firestorm 21:41, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

I think I might need a list, as I have:
- More edits
- My own bot with meaningful edits
- More Hats
- Better Hats
- More Playtime
- A superior Userpage
- More Userboxes
- BETTER Userboxes
- Userboxes that YOU stole
- Userpage layout that YOU liberated
- Yeah, I'm fine with you getting admin status that you probably won't even use :P --Firestorm 03:14, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

The case of Jarate
Jarate allows minicrit damage when thrown at an enemy right? Well, if you airblast that jarate back at the sniper or his team, they get minicrit damage against them, and that's it. Airblasting may add minicrit status to jarate the projectile, but it does not stack with jarate the effect; the jarate-covered people still only get minicrit damage against them. I think that was what I was trying to say on the Projectiles page. --Focusknock 12:11, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
- Ah, I did misunderstand you. However, on the Mini-Crit page, it is already stated that mini-crit effects do not stack. --Firestorm 15:11, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
FireBOT
What criteria are you using to pick pages for a once-over by FireBOT? Generally, you should not be automatically processing a large number of pages without reviewing them all. Here is a bad edit that was just made. -- Pilk (talk) 20:28, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- It was simply changing critical to Critical. I have been reviewing every edit, just missed those ones because they were at the bottom. --Firestorm 20:33, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- You probably shouldn't be fixing them just for the sake of it. AWB is designed so that edits like these are done in the course of normal wiki editing duties. Page histories are being filled with bot edits, which is OK once or twice for every major revision of a page, but it's pointless doing it just because you can. -- Pilk (talk) 20:42, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- I was just attempting to keep things consistent. I don't see a point in a naming change (I.E Mini-crit --> Mini-Crit) if only half the pages actually follow it. If we're going to be making other convention changes (Medigun --> Medi Gun), then the same thing is going to happen. So it's a choice: let the bots change all pages, let some pages be a little inconsistant, or stop making minor name changes. --Firestorm 20:56, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- OK then, in the future, would you like me to still change all the pages based on name changes? --Firestorm 21:12, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- Would you want me to run WindBOT over all the Category:Weapons pages? — Wind 21:13, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

Clips/Mags
What can be more confusing than using the wrong word to define something, when we have an appropriate word?
If you want, add a link to a picture showing both of them, and not only can you show correct information, you can also teach people the difference! Mistah Phoenix 06:35, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
- While magazine is technically true, we use clip for convenience, even when it doesn't fit the weapon, like with the Grenade Launcher. This may be something that we can change if we find enough people that think we should change it. However, please wait a little while before bringing forward that proposition, as the wiki is currently crazy with people who think 10 edits will get them a hat --Firestorm 06:37, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
- Relax, I'm not here for the hat. I just happened to find an opportunity to make meaningful additions (kinda) with this latest add-on, since not much is known and much can be learned. Still, I personally believe we should use the correct term and teach others to do so as well. Mistah Phoenix 06:41, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
- I wasn't accusing you of being one of them. Anyone who is willing to browse pages to turn a single word to its correct meaning obviously has better things in mind. Thanks for being calm instead of being one of the wankers yelling "F YOU ITS MAGAZIN NOT CLIP YOU Fin STUPID MOD" (it's happened) --Firestorm 06:44, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

An Unusual Magistrate's Mullet (with Green Particle effect)
Hey Firestorm,
I've got another Unusual Hat image for you. I think it supercedes the current image (File:Unusual_Green_Confetti.png) displaying the effect in terms of compression and size. Feel free to crop the image to your liking. Thanks for keeping the wiki awesome. :) - Lhavelund 00:16, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
Disregard this. Accidentally double-clicked.
- Hey, thanks for the image. Unfortunately, I'm on dial-up right now on vacation so I can't work with it until Monday. I'll let you know more then. Thanks! --Firestorm 02:33, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

- The current image shows off the confetti better and is better quality. It's also a much more fun image, with the Engineer having a grand ol' time! Thanks for the help, though, I've added you on Steam. --Firestorm 22:48, 11 October 2010 (UTC)

User Page Templates?
How can I use templates in my user page like in your user page, along with the nice font. --DarkShard 23:34, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
- Creating templates is easy, just navigate to where you want the template to be (Like User:Firestorm/Template:Checklist) And create the page with the template. Then, transcribe the template like this: {{User:Firestorm/Template:Checklists}}. As for nice font, read up around here, as well as here --Firestorm 22:52, 11 October 2010 (UTC)

No, I literally meant the word Template. You can use a template without the word, it's only used to specify the Template namespace which is not required in this case as you have already specified the User namespace. It's just a waste of typing. – Smashman (talk) 23:10, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
