Australium Weapons are a rare kind of weapon announced on November 20, 2013. They can only be obtained through specific means (Golden Wrench, Saxxy, and Golden Frying Pan) or by random drop upon completing the Mann vs. Machine Two Cities tour.

Australium was originally used in the creation of three rare weapon variations, all of which obtainable only by difficult means (such as winning a Saxxy, for example). The weapons are especially unique as, when a player is killed by an Australium weapon, the body model turns into a golden statue instead of the standard ragdoll, leaving a unique corpse for others to see.

As of the Two Cities Update, Australium weapons have been expanded to a range of rare weapons, which are obtainable through completing a Tour Of Duty on Mann Vs. Machine maps Mannhattan and Rottenburg. The original Australium weapons currently share hex code of Unique weapons: #FFD700.
