Killstreak Kits are tool items that can transform a specific weapon into a Killstreak weapon. Completing an Operation Two Cities tour will automatically earn the player a Killstreak Kit, and possibly a Killstreak Kit Fabricator. These items will allow the player to craft even rarer Killstreak Kits, granting special effects to the weapon they are applied to.

Standard Killstreak Kits
Standard Killstreak Kits are the most common kind of killstreak kit that can be earned by completing the Two Cities Tour. When you complete the tour, you will be given a Killstreak Kit of a randomly selected weapon, which can be applied in the same way as a Strangifier. When you have a Killstreak weapon equipped, an HUD counter will be added displaying your current killstreak with any Killstreak weapons. Getting killed resets this counter.
Specialized Killstreak Kits
These function the same as Standard Killstreak Kits, but they also apply a colored Sheen to the weapon. This effect causes the weapon to glow from one end to the other occasionally.
Below are the currently known Sheen colors:
- Team Shine
- Deadly Daffodil
- Manndarin
- Mean Green
- Agonizing Emerald
- Villainous Violet
- Hot Rod
Professional Killstreak Kits
Professional Killstreak Kits are created with Professional Killstreak Kit Fabricators, obtained from the Two Cities Tour more rarely than Specialized Fabricators.
Like their Specialized counterparts, Professional Killstreak Kits will apply a colored Sheen to the weapon. Unlike Specialized Kits, they also add a Killstreaker particle effect to the player. While the weapon is equipped and the player has a killstreak of at least five, the effect will become visible. This effect, similar to that of the Eyelander will match the color of the weapon's Sheen and will come from the player's eyes. The effect will become more intense when the killstreak reaches 10 kills.
Below are the currently known Killstreaker effects:
- Fire Horns
- Cerebral Discharge
- Tornado
- Flames
- Singularity
- Incinerator
- Hypno-Beam
