Cactus Canyon is a Payload map consisting of two stages.

As with other Payload maps, the BLU team's goal is to escort the cart through the map to the final terminus while the RED team has the task to stop them. Due to the map being in a developmental state; there are multiple incomplete fences around the stages, there isn't an outside skybox, parts of the map appear blocky, some areas are unbalanced for particular teams, such as the ramp at the beginning of stage 2, and some buildings don't have textures.

Locations

  • Stage One
  • Stage Two

Update history

July 8, 2014 Patch

  • Added Mann Co. Beta Maps - Early Access program.
    • Added 2 new beta maps: rd_asteroid and pl_cactuscanyon.
    • Beta maps can be accessed via the Quickplay menu by checking the "Play Beta Maps" option.

Bugs

  • Players are able to glitch under a rock at blu spawn on the first point.
  • There is a bug that causes the timer to stop upon the bomb being pushed to the final point, making the match last forever.
