The License to Maim is a currently unreleased promotional Miscellaneous item to be worn by all classes. It appears as the Freelance Police badge used by the characters Sam and Max.
The badge is awarded alongside the Lugermorph after defeating Max during a special round of Template:W.

Trivia
- While Max is generally considered number two of the Freelance Police, the badge has the number one on it.
- Although the License to Maim can be obtained by defeating Max, usually it's Sam who dons the badge in the cartoon series and comics.
- In the "Sam & Max: Freelance Police" cartoon series, Max's badge was self made from a bottle cap.
- The License to Maim is a play on the character James Bond's License to Kill.
