Stop reverting my changes 100%. Maybe if you disagree with 1 change I did, then review that page yourself and spend time making it better. There are obvious reasons why I make changes to pages. And although some of my additions may need changing, the old descriptions definitely need changing. Fire was linked twice on the HLH page, and there was limited information about the damage. The 25% damage is misleading, and basically, if it actually was 25% more than Stock, then it is a straight upgrade to the Brass Beast. It clearly isn't, and its max damage is still slightly lower. Just wanted to clear that up. Also, it has to be somewhere, the burning player damage. Maybe move it to the actual damage section if you have the time or can be bothered to. With the Brass Beast, before it said something about having 60% less movement speed when BOTH deployed AND revved up. What does this tell me? That these are two SEPARATE scenarios, and that suggests that this person who edited the page previously thought that the Brass Beast has 60% movement speed reduction when DEPLOYED (opposite of holstered, if you didn't catch on). This is obviously untrue, and so I fixed it. When I do things like this, I also change some other stuff I think needs changing, after only initially wanting to change 1 aspect of a weapon description. Some determined new guy has joined the Community Strategy cause.
Hey Doc, I'm not sure if you're active, but I'm here and have been contributing to the Strategy pages a ton recently. Just popping a note here that I'm personally offering to join the Community Strategy Project, and have been hard at work for the last week or so. Take a look at the Basic Strategy pages: I have added info, edited, and tweaked all of them with the help of InShane to cut out the grit.
I am beginning to move on to the Community Strategy pages since they are outdated as nuts, and am almost done with the Community Scout strategy page. I'll keep going till every class is updated, then I'll see if I can help out with the map pages and such. I hope that my contributions are appreciated in the long run; InShane seems to like my additions.
If you don't mind, I'll also add my name to the Team Fortress Wiki:Community Strategy's contributor names if it is agreeable.

- Go right ahead. I'll proof your edits later. I've bren busy with real life so I thank you for keeping up my work. -- Dr. Scaphandre 08:41, 31 March 2016 (PDT)
Welcome back from the dead
Now if it isn't too much of an issue, maybe you could go and give my recent Community Strategy page updates a check? Everything was edited down to weapon combinations and class cooperation strategies to be as recent as possible. Currently only Scout and Soldier are done though. Takes a long time. Archrelico "Mexi" 00:52, 27 May 2016 (PDT)
- Send me the ones you've done so far and I'll take a look. I can't go through all of them right now for I'm working on class images. -- Dr. Scaphandre 16:33, 27 May 2016 (PDT)
I'm sorry
I am aware these were some awful additions but my concept was ok. I'm new to the formatting (eg. Info boxes) and had The sections a little jumbled but ive already spent the last 4 hours trying to figure out the formatting but then when I figured out that the "see also" and "updates" tabs were in the wrong spot I wanted to fix it but my little sis wanted me on a bike ride. so I didn't get to fix it right away so I left it thinking "these areas have been abandoned for some time" so I left it to come back too in an half-hour so I will admit the page as it stood was pretty bad so I'll fix it then publish it the next time I do something like that. Once again sorry. OOStriker (talk) 17:05, 12 July 2016 (PDT)
- Look, no need to beat yourself up about it. You're new, and you don't know how things work. But if you don't know how to do something, please next time ask someone how to do it, or try to figure out yourself. We have a lot of tools to help you learn the ways of the wiki, starting with the help page itself. Secondly, there's the IRC channel, where you can talk to people live. I definitely recommend you come and visit us on the IRC, as it can give you live feeds of recent changes, and everyone there are really cool guys and would love to meet you. -- Dr. Scaphandre 17:10, 12 July 2016 (PDT)

- Oh I forgot to explain the request more. It was going to be for my splatfest, Wiki Cap vs Saxxy. Callie is wearing a Wiki Cap all happy and cheerful, while Marie is holding her Saxxy like a weapon all sarcastic. -- Dr. Scaphandre 08:34, 9 August 2016 (PDT)

Featured article (and dyk?) rotation
Hey, if you want a template for these can you tell me what you're picturing? Darkid « Talk — Contribs » 02:03, 24 August 2016 (PDT)
- I was looking at a Javascript where the script makes the Wiki Markup of the featured article for you when the dates came like other wikis. You make the page in advance in the archive, then it's constructed on the front page. Encyclopedia Dramatica uses a system similar to this. -- Dr. Scaphandre 07:32, 24 August 2016 (PDT)
- That could work. The current system could use tweaking. Would we still be able to add new pages to the rotation? -- Dr. Scaphandre 12:40, 26 August 2016 (PDT)
- So this is what I'm asking you -- make a specification (e.g. a list of things you want) and I'll try to implement them in code / tell you they're impossible. This is a project that you suggested / supported, so I need you to take the lead on it. Darkid « Talk — Contribs » 00:08, 28 August 2016 (PDT)
- So what we need is a script that can make the featured article for us. It needs to be able to keep track of the dates where the Featured Article needs to be changed as we're trying to set it up to become a bimonthly update. When it gets near the time for it to update it provides a notice warning that it needs an update. This is to make things more organized for if I'm and the others are gonna uodate the front page more we need some scripts that can organize updating more. -- Dr. Scaphandre 14:13, 28 August 2016 (PDT)
- Ok, here's a demo of what you (might) mean: User:Darkid/Sandbox Darkid « Talk — Contribs » 17:40, 29 August 2016 (PDT)
- Where is it? Your sandbox has the code, but there's nothing there. -- Dr. Scaphandre 18:44, 29 August 2016 (PDT)
- Sorry, I've added in a preview now. Darkid « Talk — Contribs » 07:14, 30 August 2016 (PDT)
- So walk me though this code, for I'm not sure how you execute it. -- Dr. Scaphandre 08:52, 30 August 2016 (PDT)

It should completely replace {{FeaturedArticle}}
. Same usage. Adding rows should be fairly obvious? Darkid « Talk — Contribs » 22:22, 30 August 2016 (PDT)
The only thing it needs now is a little section that shows people how to add a new Featured article, then we can test it out. -- Dr. Scaphandre 23:05, 30 August 2016 (PDT)

Moving templates
You can totally move templates, just leave a redirect. Darkid « Talk — Contribs » 22:22, 30 August 2016 (PDT)
- I am well aware. However, I couldn't move it because there was already a template taking the spot. -- Dr. Scaphandre 23:02, 30 August 2016 (PDT)
