Craft numbers are important to people that either just wanna have something to collect or feel important. If you have anything under Craft 100 it shows up on the item itself in game. Sure the TF2 Economy is silly but you can't change it.. Only way to change it is to take away the trading system completely along with hats and go back to the old days. No F2Ps no hats no trading.. no economy. Other craft numbers like 1337 or 9000 just are popular numbers if you know what they mean. It has importance to those that are looking for profit.
