曼恩企業更新（Mann-Conomy Update）是絕地要塞 2 於2010年9月30日更新釋出的重大更新之一。總括來看，這次更新加入了包含Polycount Pack比賽中勝出的社群製作的新帽子、武器、小遊戲和有特殊作用的小道具等 65 樣新玩意。本更新也引進了曼恩商店、名為Steam 電子錢包的Template:W、以及物品交易系統。官方更新網站中照慣例地放了一些彩蛋，包括點擊網站首頁最上方高塔上的「Mann Co.」招牌可以看到整個建築物的整體和它的週遭環境。把滑鼠移到首頁最下方的大猩猩上，你會看到牠對著你眨眼，點擊牠會連結到一張附畫框的大猩猩畫像。

復古道具

在更新之後，玩家所有先前獲得的所有道具都成了「復古道具」。這些道具的名稱字體變成了藍色，並在它們的名稱前面加上了「復古」字樣。根據Valve表示，「有些先前十分稀有的道具將會因為商店的引入而不再具有珍稀性。（中略）如此一來，這些比較有歷史性的稀有道具將可保持它們的稀有度（事實上，它們變得更為稀有，因為這些東西已經「絕版」了）。」

不過還是有些先前獲得卻沒被加上「復古」標籤的例外，像是作弊者的輓歌、Alien Swarm寄生蟲、百戰天蟲鋼盔、有點噁心的萬聖節面具、比爾的帽子、驚悚大禮帽、耳機以及所有的獎章（創世紀戰士、灰髮老兵、幸運士兵、傭兵）和合成材料（金屬）。

異常帽子

異常的物品是有特殊的粒子效果附於表面的帽子。目前，唯一方法來獲得這些物品是由解鎖一個Mann Co.補給箱與其相應的鑰匙，或由交易來博取一個。在帽子和異常的物品上的粒子效果之間有882種可能的組合（14種效果 X 63頂目前有'異常能力'的帽子。）不同的粒子效果在這個動畫中是可見的，它們也都出現在遊戲中。

新方法來獲得物品

商店

「曼恩企業商店」是隨著曼恩企業更新釋出的，內建於遊戲中的電子交易服務。玩家可以在這裡用存在Steam錢包的金錢購買遊戲中的帽子、武器、和動作道具等虛擬商品。這個商店並不是鼓勵玩家成為美金戰士：除了裝飾性商品外，所有商店內買得到的東西大部分都有合成公式，亦有可能於遊戲中隨機獲得。社群貢獻物品的作者們將可以在這些物品的獲利中抽成。」 由於商店中購買的物品沒辦法拿來合成或是與其他玩家交易，目前是沒辦法把在商店購買的便宜道具變成其他高價值物品的。

交易

遊戲中的交易系統允許玩家們互相交換武器、帽子和其他道具來獲得各自想要的物品。某些道具，像是紳士服務獎章、黃金扳手、於商店購買的道具，以及藉由送禮獲得的道具都是屬於「無法交易」的，這意味著它們只會永遠待在購買它們的玩家帳號的背包裡面。不過令人驚訝的是，比爾的帽子、百戰天蟲鋼盔和Alien Swarm寄生蟲都可以拿來交易。

截至目前為止，玩家可以和自己好友名單內、以及目前所處伺服器內的任意玩家交易。

只要知道對方的Steam社群ID，藉由輸入ID網址也可以直接和對方交易。如果你想要找的交易對象沒有跟你在同一個伺服器裡，這功能可以讓你方便交易許多。

然而，雖然這無須多說，兩名玩家若想進行交易，則兩人都必須在Team Fortress 2遊戲中才可以。再重申一遍，目前在商店購買的道具都沒辦法用來交易。
