The Festive Winter Crate is a tool item which seems to drop the same way normal crates do, although the drop is not announced in chat (possibly a bug). It is shown as a Mann Co. Supply Crate decorated with snow and mistletoe.
This crate can not be opened with the normal Mann Co. Supply Crate Key, even though the description says otherwise as stated in the Mann Co. Catalog. The Festive Winter Crate is set to expire on December 31, 2010.
