The March 15th patch says that it fixed the bug issues with the Zatoichi taunts for Demoman and Soldier. The Demo's taunt is the Eyelanders, but what is the Soldier's? There doesn't seem to be a mention of it anywhere. 2 MDL's for this weapon
- Seems there's 2 different models for this weapon, both in the same folder, and both look exactly the same (as far as I can tell since loading them both up in the SDK's Model Viewer).
- tf\models\weapons\c_models\c_shogun_katana\c_shogun_katana.mdl
- tf\models\weapons\c_models\c_shogun_katana\c_shogun_katana_soldier.mdl
- So what do you guys make of this? Why the 2 models? 404 User Not Found 01:21, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
- One for the Demoman, one for the Soldier. —Moussekateer·talk 01:22, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, since the one the Demoman uses is one from the past, since he is a time traveling wizard. :P GeminiViRiS Talk Contribs 23:00, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

Wait, what?
The backpack image for the Half-Zatoichi is a hair piece that looks like the Medicgeisha, why? Nihilus0(contribs) 01:30, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
I was wondering the same thing, unless the weapon turns into a hat, IT MAKES NO SENSE.Wallacethewalrus 01:39, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
One-Hit Kill
The description mentions a one-hit kill between opposing Soldiers/Demos wielding this weapon. Testing is required -- Firestorm 02:14, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
- Just tested. Soldier/Soldier, Demo/Demo, and Soldier/Demo all decap and 1HKO ONLY with the sword out. Decap happens always, 1HKO only if it is the active weapon. Fendermcbender 02:26, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
- So it is only necessary that 1 guy has the sword out? It kills u even when u have 300 hp buff? Maybe a check if it can kill soldier or demoman which is ubered. Or if he can put weapon away after hittin ubered soldier.(btw i'm not pleased with these new weapons...) NWM 13:22, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
How much damage does this do exactly? Even telefrags and trains deal numerical damage, this must too. Toomai Glittershine 14:39, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
I will test both of these points soon. Fendermcbender 16:15, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
- out of curiosity, it decapitates anyone the player kills dosent it? Gamecrazy009 05:06, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
- When I did it, his head came off, but I've only dueled with the Half-Zatoichi a little, so I'm not 100% clear.Just a Gigolo 18:36, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
- well what im trying to figure out is that if the soldier kills like the demo with his eyelander and such? Gamecrazy009 21:48, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

Censored
Because there is blood on this weapon when it has been used, is this again censored on some copies of TF2? Investigation! - Devozade 22:34, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
- Recently, Valve didn't want to censor community related items. Shock394 00:15, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
The Bug About Remember Last Weapon
In the bug section, It's listed that 'Remember Last Weapon' on spawn is considered a bug.
Personally, I don't see how this is a bug or glitch in the game, the option does exactly what it is supposed to do and so does the weapon - pull it out right after spawn and lock it until you get a kill. This really isn't a bug, more just a bad mix of your options. Moving it to Trivia or as a Note in the main section would perhaps make more sense. Bigboomar 23:07, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
Weapon Demonstrations, We has em'
For the video of the demonstration besides killing, uses, specials, etc. we should get a side by side diffrence of how the soldier or demo draws the weapon (since the soldier sheaths it?)(please note i dont work on any of the videos...) Gamecrazy009 05:32, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
Trading
I've heard rumors on two different servers that the Shogun items will become tradable on Mar 15 when the game comes out. Anyone know? Secret Agent Clank 07:54, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, all promo items will become tradeable when their respective games release. GeminiViRiS Talk Contribs 08:00, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
- They're tradable now.Just a Gigolo 11:27, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
