:Sorry, I'm not using TF2 Forums or something, so I decided to report here, Loch-and-Load isn't added to Mann Co Catalog list, at least in Russian version of TF2.

Power of Weapon

Anyone else finding that the weapon isn't ANY more powerful than the normal pipe launcher? In fact in my testing it seems to be a lot weaker. --André the Accelerator 01:31, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

This page is for discussing the article, not the weapon itself. For discussing the weapon, please use the TF2 forums Natemckn 01:33, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
I think it's in need of a buff, too. Just make it like the direct hit and give it reduced splash damage, or remove the damage to self. Anonynja 22:40, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

'Not what it looks like in game'

I beg to differ, because it does look like that in game: Source AbeX300 16:07, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

Actually nevermind, it does say that in TF2Items...why do I even have it layed out like that? AbeX300 16:09, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

Clip size inconsistency

Description says "-60% clip size" but the LnL has 2 ammo per clip whereas the GL has 4. Now, I know that GL's original ammo clip counted 6 grenades, but it should be "-66% ammo clip" then. Should be worth mentioning?--Kid Of The Century 10:39, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

I believe it's just Valve re-using some of the attributes in the schema but forgetting to change the numeric values. -- Psychopath User Psychopath avatar.png 10:42, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
10% of 4 is 0.4, therefore 60% is 0.4 x 6 which is 2.4. 4 - 2.4 = 1.6. If it's 66% as you say, and 1% of 4 is 0.04, then it is 4 - ((0.04 x 6) + 2.4) = 4 - 2.64 = 1.36. How is this better? 50% is clearly the way to go. --Focusknock 09:00, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

New Kill Icon

Today most of the new weapons got their own kill icons. I saw in the history that someone reverted the change to the old grenade launcher kill icon , however i changed it back because on this page, http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Weapons, it says that the loch n load uses the new icon. Did the person mean that its a bug and its not actually used in game? Mgrandi 07:54, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

It's in the game files, but in game it does not use the kill icon, no one knows why, more than likely a bug. Until it actually changes that way in the game, it should be left as the grenade launcher icon MogDog66 User MogDog66 Service Metal No WhiteSpace.png t c p || 07:55, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Your Edit was reverted by MogDog with reason the Loch-n-Load kill icon was added to the game files but for now is still unused (check the link I just gave) so for now it will not be added to this page. As soon as the new kill icon is used in game you'll be able to change it here.
Sign your edits using ~~~~ instead of writing everything, it's way easier, and make yourself a nice userpage too, it helps everyone know who you are and what you do :).Tturbo 07:59, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
uh hey, i'm the guy who created the loch 'n loads kill icon, on release day it seemed the kill icon wouldn't work. it's due to be included/fixed up for the next update. sorry if there was any confusion, the new icon will be used soon enough! HyenaDip 09:22, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
The patch has just gone out. Info. --Superslinger2007 00:51, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

Crafting (primary or secondary token)

Does anybody know whether the description here or on the Crafting page is correct?

This page gives the recipe "DemoToken + PrimaryToken + Scrap" while the Crafting page lists (under the Class Weapons examples) "DemoToken + SecondaryToken + Scrap" and also lists it as secondary under the "Crafting weapon classifications" header.

I don't really feel like taking my chances by blindly trying one recipe (not even sure if I got the raw material needed), so if anybody knows which page got it right, please tell/correct. Thanks! :) --Sid 18:00, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for pointing that out. The crafting page was correct in that the LnL is a secondary weapon for crafting purposes. The blueprint on this article has been fixed. User Moussekateer signature sprite.pngMoussekateer·talk 18:08, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Sweet, thanks for the quick clarification! *holds up his shiny new Loch-n-Load* :) ...now I just have to learn how to aim... --Sid 17:22, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
As a note, All Loch-n-Loads crafted prior to march 15th with either the 2 reclaimed, 1 Scottish resistance blueprint, or the token blueprint, are now vintage. This is the only way to get a vintage Loch-N-Load. Animalbrad 16:49, 17 March 2011 (UTC)

Pronunciation

Can someone add a correct IPA pronunciation for the weapon? I've noticed most people call it the "Lock-n-load". I'd do it myself, but I don't have a working microphone at the moment. Cooper Kid 16:51, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

How else would you pronounce it? :S User Moussekateer signature sprite.pngMoussekateer·talk 17:25, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
There are various ways to pronounce it, but Loch as in "Lock" is pretty normal. That'de be the British/American English pronunciation of the word, if I'm not mistaken. It's a borrowed word, and is pronounced differently in Gaelic. The point is, "Lock" is correct. The Gaelic (and various other) pronunciation is "Law" and then you kind of clear your throat and it's not very pleasant to hear. Germanic languages, ho!—User spyonce hearts.pngSpyoncé 17:34, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
I'm sure it's pronounced 'lohh' in areas of Scotland, but 'lock' is used more widely for everyone else.--Focusknock 18:10, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
Actually, there isn't a correct 'British English' way of pronouncing it, English people generally say "lock" whereas in Scotland it's always "loch". I didn't realise it known as "lock" so widely - though I normally play on UK servers so I guess only I'm to blame for that. Maybe it's worth putting this in the trivia section though? Weapon Price on the Wiki page

Just notice that. On the wiki page it cost $9.99, then in ingame shop it cost $2.49. Need to be fixed. RusTORK 09:29, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

Done. For future reference you can edit the item prices in the price dictionary yourself. User Moussekateer signature sprite.pngMoussekateer·talk 09:35, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
