Birds appear in 21 selected maps of Team Fortress 2. There are 78 birds in total which explode when the player shoots them, hits them with a melee weapon, or walks over them. A list of locations for the birds can be found here

Trivia
- Birds can be seen in the teaser Medic picture and the dove on the "Ubi Concordia, Ibi Victoria" achievement [1].
- The birds explode when shot, hit, or touched by a player.
- A dropped Sandvich can set them off as well.
- The explosion does no damage or knockback.
- An exploded bird will re-appear at the start of a new round.
