The Pain Train is a community-made melee weapon for the Soldier and the Demoman. It is a broken wooden handle with black tape, outfitted with a large railroad stake and several bent nails stuck in the top.
When equipped, the club increases the capture rate of its wielder, counting him as two people and putting him at par with the Scout when capturing control points and pushing Payload carts. The Pain Train can be used effectively in conjunction with rocket or stickybomb jumping to quickly approach and capture points. As a down side, the wielder will be 10% more vulnerable to bullet-firing weaponry such as the Minigun, Scattergun, Shotgun, Sniper Rifle, or Sentry Guns.
During a critical hit, the Soldier swings it from the left in a backhand motion, while the Demoman swings it downwards in a quick, swift motion.

Bugs
- Fire and projectile damage from the Huntsman may inadvertently be increased against the user.
- When the Soldier taunts with this weapon, the model is facing backwards of the firstperson viewmodel.
Trivia
- For crafting purposes, the Pain Train counts as both a Soldier and a Demoman weapon. However, using it for crafting a Class Token, with any blueprint, will always produce a Soldier Token.
- The Pain Train was originally designed to be used by the Pyro. [1]
- The name was made up by Swizzle himself. The caption he also included with the submission was "The Pain Train's a-comin! Woo woo!".
