The Advanced Weaponiser is a SourceMod server plugin that adds additional items to Team Fortress 2. It is developed by Mecha the Slag.
A loadout viewer built specifically for the Advanced Weaponiser is currently in development, and can be found here. As with any backpack viewer, the inventory of any player can be viewed by entering their Steam ID in to the search bar. For example, Humblerbee's loadout can be found here.

Basic Use
Advanced Weaponiser remembers players via their Steam ID, letting them retain their items and equipment settings between visits to the server. When connecting to the server for the first time, a player will not have any Weaponiser items, but will be granted one shortly after spawning. Any player who respawns will occasionally be granted one Weaponiser item that they don't yet have (continuing until they have every non-restricted weapon), being announced with a text alert and in-game fanfare which mimics the process of earning official weapons and achievements. In the receiving player's HUD, the 'radio' menu displays the name, class and statistics of the weapon they've just found, and they have the option of either equipping it immediately or dismissing the message. The plugin also has its own achievements system (based upon one of Mecha's other plugins), and players who fulfill the achievement conditions are rewarded with Weaponiser's wearable items.
Player Commands
As is the case with most SourceMod plugins, commands must be prefixed with either ! or /. Using ! publicly displays the command in chat when entered, while / hides it. All of these commands display their output in the 'radio' menu:
- ach or achievements - A list of Weaponiser achievements for the class the player is currently playing, divided into 'Earned' and 'Not Earned' categories.
- achall or achievementsall - A full list of Weaponiser achievements for all classes, divided into 'Earned' and 'Not Earned' categories.
- info <weapon name> - Displays the name, class and statistics for the specified item.
- loadout - A browsing and 'equip' interface for the items the player has found, separated by slot (Primary, Secondary, Melee and Hat). Only shows items for the class they are currently playing.
- news - A log of all changes to the plugin, grouped in reverse chronological order. The date and plugin version for each change is not displayed.
The Great Slag Treasure Hunt
The Great Slag Treasure Hunt is a special event hosted on the Advanced Weaponiser server.
In order to participate in the hunt, the player must first collect 4 clues (the clues being the letters S, L, A and G). The clues can be found randomly through drops on the server, or can be stolen from other players who have clues by killing them 3 times.
Once all 4 clues have been found, a notification will be displayed to the entire server, stating the name of the player who collected all the clues. One of three treasure numbers along with the name of the map to find it on will also be displayed.
The player must then locate the treasure on the map that it appears on. Each treasure rewards the player with a special promotional item.
Treasure Locations
- Treasure #1 is located on koth_viaduct. It can be found on the bridge attached to a house near the Control Point. Upon locating the treasure, the user is rewarded with The Pegasus Boots.
- Treasure #2 is located on koth_nucleus. It can be found on the upper part of the map. Upon locating the treasure, the user is rewarded with The Celtic King.
- Treasure #3 is located on koth_harvest_event. It can be found on the roof of the Control Point building. Upon locating the treasure, the user is rewarded with The Lethal Injection.

Known Bugs
- Inspecting a player that's using Weaponiser equipment causes accurate pro/con/description data to be shown, but the weapon's name, name color and icon are rarely correct.
- Viewmodels for most of the weapons are disabled, due to their previous glitchy nature (they would flicker between the Weaponiser item and the item in the player's 'real' loadout). Almost all 'world' models display correctly, but may glitch during certain animations.
- Certain items that are equipped on the regular loadout will carry their pros and cons, even when equipping the Weaponiser's weapons.
- Using Your Eternal Reward with the Heart Opener will add the stats of the Heart opener and remove the Disguise Kit.
- The Blizzard Builder will destroy Buildings upon respawn if the Engineer originally had the Gunslinger equipped.
- If the user has all the items in a set equipped, the bonus given by the item set will apply while using the Weaponiser's weapons.
- Using Your Eternal Reward with The Great Escape can sometimes cause enemies to see classes (the disguised Spy) carrying weapons that do not belong to that class, e.g. a Scout carrying a Minigun.
- Players will not get kill/assist credit if a killed player was infected with Heart Opener, but not killed with said weapon.
- When holding Alt-Fire, Maxine sometimes doesn't show bullet sprites.
- When certain classes wear the Rad Rap, i.e the Engineer, it may clip with their head or sometimes not show up at all.
- When a disguised Spy backstabs someone with the Heart Opener, the Spy may be seen disguised while holding the Heart Opener in his/her hand from an enemy standpoint.
- Snipers equipped with The Walkabout have the cosmetic attachments of their 'real' primary weapon displayed on their player model (i.e. arrows in the quiver with the Huntsman equipped, darts in the pocket with the Sydney Sleeper).
- The April 14, 2011 Patch introduced a permanent bug where players no longer are able to view weapon/hat models on nearly all players.
Trivia
- Several weapons in Weaponiser are based on unused and beta.
- Many weapons that have been released officially share similar stats to items in this mod, including;
- The original stats for the Endless Carnage were very similar to the stats now used for the Back Scratcher.
- The stats for the Gentle Manne's Olde Firecannone were very similar to the stats now used for the Detonator.
- Before being officially added to the game, the Fists of Steel model was used for a weapon by the same name. Because of this, the Advanced Weaponiser version was renamed to the Alternative Fists of Steel.
- The model of the the Heart Opener is based on the Yatagarasu's Key from Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth.
- The model of the Endless Carnage is based on a chainaxe from the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
- The model of the Revolvin' Revolver is based on Skelter Helter's gun from No More Heroes 2.
- The description for the Rad Rap is a reference to the Gorillaz song Melancholy Hill.
- The Rad Rap is modeled after the hat worn by "Russel" on the cover of the Gorillaz album "Demon Days."
