The P.D.Q. is a scrapped melee weapon for the Engineer from the closed beta, the attributes of which were leaked by testers. At the time of its leak, the P.D.Q. did not possess a unique model, texture, or animations, rather using the same as the regular Wrench. The P.D.Q. did not have the ability to be used to upgrade buildings, instead increasing the Engineer's rate of construction by 150% percent. It was never known whether damage values varied from the regular Wrench or not.
The Gunslinger, while it doesn't apply to dispensers and Teleporters, can build Sentry Guns very fast, but can't upgrade them. It could be possible that the P.D.Q was just an early prototype of the new weapon.
Trivia
- The name is a reference to the abbreviated acronym for "Pretty Damn Quick" (alternatively "Pretty Darn Quick" or "Please Do Quickly"), sometimes appended to the end of an instruction or command to communicate urgency.
