Wikichievement for contributors to TFC articles

I have no ideas for pictures, names or descriptions now, but it makes sense that we provide an incentive for people to work on TFC articles. ~ lhavelund (talkcontrib) 01:48, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

For making many approvable, good and funny userboxes for the TF Wiki.

I made this one because it would be good for the userbox makers since theres no achievement for making these and alot of the users (including myself) likes to sprite up their userpages. I have another one in mind, but I dont wanna bring it up before you guys are agreed to this Wikichievement. The Noble Scout R9t4 20:22, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

The Userboxes are a very minor part of a purely aesthetic part of the Wiki. They are hardly worth a Wikichievement (Even though I would get about four of this one right now for my userboxes) --User Firestorm Flame.png Firestorm 02:21, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Remember Firestorm that i said userboxes. Which mean no one knows how many userboxes it needs to be, so it means that it must be alot of them. The Noble Scout 17:30, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
These sort of wikichievements shouldn't be encouraged. Creating tons of userboxes doesn't benefit or improve the actual wiki in any way. It's nice to decorate your userpage with them, but we'd much rather spend your time contributing to the wiki instead of creating countless arbitrary userboxes. Sorry :( User Moussekateer signature sprite.pngMoussekateer·talk 17:37, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Well, then i'll make a better suggestion later since this one was abit of a failure :S The Noble Scout 18:19, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Painful Karma

Second degree burn.png

Painful Karma
Create an article that some will like & some will dislike.

I made this one to test a series based on grouping. As in making an article criticized by 2 groups. The first group liking/praising the article, and the second group... eh, not so much. If you don't understand, then basically imagine making an article about a recent TF2 edition. 30 people so far view the article. 15 of them like it and 15 of them don't like it. But more people will probably dislike this Wikichievement than like it :P The Great Irish Warload 00:45, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

What is this rewarding? Making an article that splits the community or that isn't worth editing? Not a good Wikichievement at all. --User Firestorm Flame.png Firestorm 02:21, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
So I guess I was right about this receiving more hate then like :/ The Great Irish Warload 03:14, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Too easy to get, just making one like Benjamuffin did with Demopan and you are done. The Noble Scout 17:25, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Create a article on a new released item before any other user does it.

The thing about this little wikichievement must be on english to make it a competition between the users who makes articles to the TF Wiki. Its a good idea i thought, but i need your meanings and to achieve this it must be either a new item or map etc.... or just what the description says. The Noble Scout 13:42, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

There's already the Frontier Notice Wikichievement that does that if I remember the description correctly. Killicon ambassadorhs unused.png Tturbo (T/C) 15:07, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, true... Killicon grand slam.png The Noble Scout (T/C) 21:12, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
This would just encourage users to spam and make a useless page. The Wikichievements should not generally have solid requirements or it will emphasize spamming and not being userful. Also, to both of you, please reduce the size of your signatures, there's no reason for them to take up so much room --User Firestorm Flame.png Firestorm 21:37, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Me too, there are some wiki users that really deserve it  – Awesome.png Ohyeahcrucz[T][C] 02:17, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
I agree with EpicEric. If there were achievements for general purposes, this would be worthy. Alas, these are wikiachievements, and strictly wiki related. --Nihilus0Backpack Lugermorph.png(contribs) 02:19, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

Pictogram minus.png Oppose I see no purpose in this. It's not contributing to the Wiki to give away stuff --User Firestorm Flame.png Firestorm 02:26, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

Pictogram nope.png Nope Why doing that, it will be very generous by others to get and give stuff, but how can you relate Wiki workers to this one, GeminiViRiS? Stunned.png The Noble Scout (T/C) 08:15, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
Yes, yes, silly me for not making an achievement not relating to the Wiki. But I thought I'd throw an idea out here for the community of the Wiki. See, in the IRC chat, some folks are clamoring that they don't have "X" game for pack "Y". Whether they're cheap or can't afford it, it's always nice to give rather than receive. —GeminiViRiS User GeminiViRiS Doubleface.jpg Talk · Contribs

Been active in one special section in the Wiki.

Well, since ive failed in my other Wikichievement stuff, maybe i should contribute this one; the point in this was to be to the editors who works in a spesific section all the time. Take me for example. Im working mostly on the Hats section on the Norwegian Wiki Part. Its just an idea and i dont think it would be any good but at leaset worth a shot. The Trivia Remover
For those who spent there time taking out bad and pointless trivia.

I know it's a bad name for it but I'm horrible at naming things.
Anyway I've seen people removing those pointless trivia in the recent log all the time so I made this. If that isn't good I made another one.

Again bad with the naming but award to those who cleaned up article making it easy to read. Painted Batter's Helmet C36C2D.pngViolencejr123 21:52, 2 August 2011 (PDT)

Pictogram plus.png Support I like them, but do you think we could somehow combine the two? To me, they're both about cleaning up the pages, just more specific. User M-NINJA Signature.png 21:55, 2 August 2011 (PDT)

It Ain't Rocket Science
Walk someone through a tutorial.

Reword description if you want. I basically want this to be for those who end up providing more help on a topic then the tutorial that was made for that area. e.g. i found the painted hat variants tutorial a little confusing, another user who has done it before, goes through and helps step by step with a successful result. I might be nitpicking here, but can the colour of the link be changed? It's not very easy to read so looks a bit tacky. There's also a full-stop missing! How could dis happen?

» Cooper Kid (blether·contreebs) 02:15, 30 August 2011 (PDT)

I think that if the link was the same green color as the Wikichievement title, it'd look pretty nice. Just my two cents. Sven 08:55, 11 September 2011 (PDT)

Why, Thank You! Your right though, "Show Me Your War Face" is pretty much the same. --Scout Decal Black.png ScoutKast 14:23, 23 September 2011 (PDT)
Out of all of these, "We can fix it in post" is really the only achievement worth implementing. The others are either far too simple (Classic Editing) or they promote something we don't want (Wiki crime and punishment). --User Firestorm Flame.png Firestorm 15:58, 23 September 2011 (PDT)
Coool. Making a new Wikichievement is my new goal now, i'll keep thinking of some more. I'll try to avoid things that are too easy or promote something bad. --Scout Decal Black.png ScoutKast 04:21, 24 September 2011 (PDT)
