The Whoopee Cap is a community-created headwear item for the Scout chosen by Valve to be released with the second wave of community-contributed content due to its outstanding quality. It appears as a crown-like cap adorned with badges.
Trivia
- Whoopee caps were popular amongst American youth during the 1930s and 40's. Commonly, the child would make one out of one of their father's worn-out fedoras, turned inside out, trimmed, and dyed a vibrant color. After the trend caught on, manufactured whoopee caps could be purchased.
- The hat was originally named Lil' Scamp's Whoopee Cap by the creator.
- This cap looks similar to the one worn by Jughead Jones from Archie Comics.
- The new description on the hat, "You'd have to be a jughead not to realize this cap is the pinnacle of fashion for the discerning youth", also makes the Jughead reference more obvious.
- The badges/patches on the hat include:
- Bonk! Atomic Punch Blutonium Berry
- Scout logo
- BLU Streak beer
- Mann Co.
- RED/BLU team logos
- Bonk! Atomic Punch Cherry Fission
- Badland Brawlers
- XXX
- Miniature Dispenser (Enemy Team Color)
