The Battalion's Back-up is a community-made secondary weapon for the Soldier. Released with the Mann-Conomy Update, it appears as a bronze-coloured bugle, and gear featuring a transmitter with a folded map secured by a couple of straps with attached compass mounted on the Soldier's back.
The pack works essentially in reverse to the Buff Banner functionality-wise. Once a Soldier has taken 600 damage in a single life, he can use the weapon to make nearby teammates immune to Crits, as well as blocking 35% of all incoming damage.
