Item Modifiers | |||
Item | Details | ||
Name Tag |
Using this tool in conjunction with a compatible item in the backpack allows the player to bestow a customized name (of 40 or fewer characters) upon that item. Using a Name Tag with an item that has already been given a custom name will rename the item.
Description Tag |
Using this tool in conjunction with an item in the backpack allows the player to bestow a customized description of 80 or less. Items with custom descriptions can be reverted to their original state only if they have also had a Name Tag used on them.
Decal Tool |
The Decal Tool is a single-use tool item. The Decal Tool can be used to spray a custom texture (or 'decal') on enabled items. Purchasing any item that the Decal Tool can be used on from the Mann Co. Store will also give players one free Decal Tool.
Strange Part |
Strange Parts are exclusive tools that are only obtainable via crates (Ex. Full Moon Kills - random drop.) Strange Parts can only be used on Strange weapons. They allow players to track additional statistics such as number of headshot kills or buildings destroyed.
Gift Wrap |
Gift Wrap is a Tool item used to wrap and deliver an item in a player's backpack to a recipient on either the current server or on their friends list. Certain items which are normally non-tradable may be 'traded' by wrapping and sending them.
Paints | |||
Paint Can |
The Paint Can is a tool that allows players to change the coloring of most hats and Miscellaneous items. Two types of Paint Cans exist; single-colored and team-colored. Items painted with single-color paints retain the appearance of one color regardless of the player's team, whereas a team-colored paint will switch between RED and BLU variant colors. Paint can be removed from an item to restore it to its default color by selecting the item in the Backpack and clicking 'Restore'. However, the paint used on the item will not be returned to the player.
