Placing a Sentry Gun: When playing Engineer on this map, it is always wise to set up a sentry as soon as you can. Try to place it on the catwalk by the intelligence or on a cliff overlooking it. To make sure Snipers can't get a good shot on it, walk around your sentry from different positions to see if it still needs to be placed differently. If you want to place a mini-sentry however, try placing it near the middle area of the map, as this is the only way to pass through to the other team, and will often get enemies disoriented while trying to grapple away.

Teleporter placement: Teleporters are always useful. Getting your team to the front lines faster is always helpful, and when the entire team lines up to use yours you know you're being a big help. A good area to try to place the Teleporter is in the middle area, perhaps near the lava pit at mid. This method is suggested as not that many players attempt to go near the lava in fear of dying, and most prefer to go over the top anyway. A second suggestion for location would be the enemy team's vent room, specifically in the vents if possible. The vents are one way, so most players wouldn't bother enter entering the room in the first place. Lastly, my third recommendation is near their Intel area. If you manage to build a teleporter here, your team will certainly be able to change the tide of battle.

Suggested powerups: As a Engineer it is noted to be a big help to your team and to keep your sentry gun repaired, you need to be alive and prepared. The main power up reccomended for playing engineer is the Regenrationpowerup as it will continually resupply your metal supply, making sure you don't have to leave. This, plus the provided health regeneration is perfect if your dispenser is still being built or is destroyed. A second powerup suggested to have would be the reflect powerup.Sadly, if your sentry is indeed destroyed and you need to escape, the reflect powerupwill help you escape quickly and safely.

Supporting your team.: Granted, this map has many close quarters and usually has at least one or two pyros around and about. Since everyone is using the grappling hook, it can be difficult to sneak behind enemy lines and may result in you getting caught. If you insist on playing spy, it is recommended that you equip the cloak and dagger and wait outside of the enemy team's spawn. This way, you can uncloak in time to sap a enemy sentry or slow down incoming troops so that your teammates have a easier time getting to the front lines.

  • Make sure to change your position after backstabbing a few times outside of their spawn, as they willbegin to spycheck. It is advised you move around the area until the enemy stops checking and moves on, before striking again.

Suggested powerups : A suggested powerup is the haste powerup. The bonus ammunition and faster firing speed helps make stabbing easier if you're in a pinch and if you need to fight off with your revolver and make a cunning escape.

  • Precision: This powerup is extremely helpful when using weapons like The ambassador. Fighting from a long distance can be helpful if flanking from a side route not commonly taken, or if you need to be a good distraction.
