Template talk:Decorated collection table
Template Update request
Hello. I've been talking with some Wiki members, and we are soon going to start improving the content of Decorated and War Paint pages. We are going to make new icons for all Decorated Weapons and War Paints (all following Shugo Style), as well BLU variants for Team Colored ones. The only thing stopping us at the moment, is that the current Decorated template does not support the options we'd like to.
I've created two concept images for how the template should look for both Decorated Weapon Collection, and War Paints Collection. The first one can be viewed [here], and the second one [here]. They should both function similarly, but the War Paint one has a dropdown menu to choose other Weapons.
The template also needs to load "Item icon" version of the items, as opposed to "Backpack". We'll be making icons that fit in 512x384, which is the same size for all Item icon images here on the Wiki.
It will be a great help if someone's able to create a new template for our needs (I suggest a new one, as it will take sometime for us to make all the icons, so let's keep the current tables from Decorated until that's finished).
Many thanks. - ▪ - 12:27, 14 July 2019 (UTC)
- The file name needs to follow like this:
File:Item icon WarPaintName WeaponName ExteriorQuality.png
. For skins that has a BLU team color, it follows:File:Item icon WarPaintName WeaponName ExteriorQuality BLU.png
. So, for example, typingFile:Item icon Dragon Slayer Dragon's Fury Factory New.png
results in: - .

This template doesn't accept images of war paints
I've seen that the Grade article has been updated, however, the new created templates doesn't show properly the war paints: (1) Because they don't exist yet and (2 and more important) The images for the Factory New war paints are just the backpack images (File:Backpack War Paint Fire Glazed.png, for example). So, there are two solutions, one more tedious that other, maybe
- Change this template to accept war paints (not sure how hard this would be), or...
- Change the file names from File:Backpack War Paint WARPAINTNAME.png to File:Backpack WARPAINTNAME War Paint Factory New.png (e.g. File:Backpack War Paint Fire Glazed.png to File:Backpack Fire Glazed War Paint Factory New.png), and leaving a redirect.
