The Triboniophorus Tyrannus, often referred to as the Brain slug, is a community-created headwear item for the Pyro. Triboniophorus Tyrannus is a green, gelatinous slug with beady black eyes, placed off-center atop the Pyro's gas mask-burnished head.

Bugs
- A Triboniophorus Tyrannus that has been Gift Wrapped will appear as a "Pyro Brain Sucker" on the description of the Carefully Wrapped Gift.
- A Triboniophorus Tyrannus that has been painted with "Team Spirit" paint, changes color from blue to red on death when playing as the BLU team. This does not happen in reverse; the color of the hat stays the same on death when playing as RED team.
Trivia
- The Template:W is a genus of green slug native to Australia.
- Triboniophorus Tyrannus roughly translates to "Slug King" in Latin.
- The Triboniophorus Tryannus strongly resembles the brain slug from the futurama TV show. The slugs take control of minds of the host, hence the "At least he's still telling you to burn things."
