Hi Everyone, I am new to Wiki Editing so if I do something wrong just tell me so I can learn from my mistakes. But in the meantime, I will let you get to know me...
I don't do much on the Wiki apart from uploading the occasional image or making a minor edit. If you check the discussion section you may find a question on there posted by me. I ask questions like that because I barely find the time to play TF2 but plently of time to edit the Wiki. I also tend to change the quote found at the top of the page to something more suitable for the subjetct.
The best edit I have made so far was creating the Mechanical Engineer Update page. No one had started a page about it yet so I though "Why can't I?" By the time you're reading this the Mechanical Engineer Update page has probably been edited to the point where it looks like any other Wiki page. I most likely didn't do all that, I just posted the basic information and some pictures in the gallery to put it on the map and let other editors become aware of its presence. It still required External links and the achievement icons when I first made it.
All pictures in my Gallery and User infobox were made by me using Source SDK and GIMP 2. You can find some good forums on making pictures here.
My favorite class is the Scout as you could probably tell. I have contributed a few items but have recieved no reply on whether they have been accepted. My favorite map is 2Fort, My favorite game mode is CTF, and my favorite color is Green. My account is free, but I plan to buy myself a few Mann Co. Supply Crate Keys so I can upgrade to a Premium Account. I started TF2 around the same time the Summer Camp Sale started.
I was aware that TF2 existed when the Sniper vs Spy Update began. I moved into a new house in the most isolated place in the world and met my neighbour who was roughly the same age as me. He owned TF2 when the Heavy Update started so he has had it for a while. He showed me the game and I fell in love with it. Eventually I forgot about buying it and carried on with the rest of my life. Occasionally we would play it on his computer but I had no real intention of getting it, even though he begged me to get it. He taught me everything he knew about TF2 so far.
When Meet the Medic came out, although I didn't own the game, I made an effort to watch the trailer. I loved it, and on top of that, it announced that TF2 was free. I think I was the 538th person to watch it, which is pretty cool seeing how it has like 5,976,587 views now. I finally found the time to install the game and started playing. I fell in love with it again, and realised how much I regret not buying it earlier. I have the same amount of knowledge as a pro, but not enough items to look like a pro.
