Map Overview
Eyeaduct overview.png

Eyeaduct is a King of the Hill map, released as part of the Scream Fortress Very Scary Halloween Special on October 27, 2011. It is a "haunted" version of Viaduct.

Similar to the previous year's Halloween event map, Mann Manor, Eyeaduct has spawning prizes, pumpkin bombs, and a boss. It also includes the haunting ghosts of 2009's Halloween event map, Harvest Event. The haunting ghosts will not appear until the point has been captured by one of the teams. The boss will appear once 10 people are playing.

Monoculus haunts this map much the same way that Horseless Headless Horsemann haunts Mann Manor.

Eyeaduct features an Underworld section, which is only reachable through portals that are created when Monoculus teleports or is killed. When Monoculus teleports, he leaves behind a purple portal. If the player gets close enough to the portal, he/she is transported to a section of the Underworld. The player will spawn on an island taking continuous periodic damage. At the end of the main path is a white portal back into the map. Stepping into the white portal instantly teleports the player back into the main map, and grants a health and speed buff with crits for a limited time. When Monoculus is killed, he leaves behind a red portal. If the player enters this portal, he/she is teleported to a section of the Underworld with a small hill leading to a skull. Upon entering the skull, players await a cage to descend, allowing them to jump into the Bombinomicon. If a player jumps into the Bombinomicon, he/she is teleported back to the map, granted the achievement Dive Into A Good Book, and given a health buff and crits for a limited time. Upon death, the player is awarded the Bombinomicon badge item. Those who stay behind for too long are engulfed in an explosion that will instantly kill anyone caught in it.

In Eyeaduct, random "prizes" can be found around the map at 5 minute intervals if at least 10 players are on the server. These behave similarly to the gifts in Mann Manor, except the player who finds it will receive a random Halloween costume piece on death instead of a Halloween Mask.

Trivia

  • If a player picks up a prize in the underworld, he/she will receive a Haunted version of the item.
  • The giant skull has an eyepatch on the left eye, just like the Demoman.
  • The Bombinomicon on Loot Island, when observed from behind, has a price tag attached to it on the bottom that reads, "$6.66". It also has a full written summary of the Bombinomicon, and quotes from critics at the bottom.
    • 666 is the devil's number in Christian mythology.
  • The Bombinomicon on Loot Island can also be read, by either clipping through the book in Replay or by walking inside it on Loot Island.
    • It contains the Anatomy of a Demoman, similar to Leonardo Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, and also several pictures of rocks.
