Please please make use of the Show preview button ! You use 4/5 edits by pages for just "1 little edit". AdvanS3b 12:26, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

Oops. Damn. Sorry. Davo 19:44, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

Sorry.

There are too many guidelines for me to remember. Davo 15:09, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Help with Userboxes

Also, if someone could tell me how to make a userbox, I'd be ever grateful. Thanks.Davo 19:07, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

1) Create a page called Template:User USERBOX NAME;
2) Copy and paste
{{Userbox
|border-c = BORDER COLOR (use as #xxxxxx or colorname)
|border-s = BORDER SIZE
|id-c = LOGO BACKGROUND COLOR (use as #xxxxxx or colorname)
|id-s = LOGO BORDER SIZE
|id-fc =
|info-c = INFO COLOR (use as #xxxxxx or colorname)
|info-s = 7
|info-fc = INFO FONT COLOR (use as #xxxxxx or colorname)
|id = USERBOX LOGO
|info = USERBOX INFO
}}<noinclude>[[Category:Userbox templates|FIRST LETTER IN USERBOX NAME]]</noinclude>

in the page content and substitute what's in bold with whatever you want;
3) Use Show Preview to make sure if it's okay and edit anything if necessary;
4) Once done, Save page;
5) Place {{User USERBOX NAME}} in your user page;
6) Save page and there you go!  –  Duel RED.png Epic Eric Duel BLU.png (T | C) 19:50, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

Just ONE question. How do I create pages? I've been just editing up until now. Davo 15:33, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

DOMINATED! I feel everything, I KNOW EVERYTHING!

Make sure to use the "Edit" Tab at the top of the Page if you need to edit multiple sections. This saves time and doesn't flood the "Recent Changes" Page since you can change every part of an article at once, say for example you have to cut out something from the "Trivia" Section and paste it into the "Overview" Section, using the "Edit" Tab at the top allows you to do this without needing to wait for the page to load after you cut the section out and then wait again before you can paste it into the other section. Remember dat. Lancer anti-tank Rocket 09:50, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

Oh, ok. Maggosh also does that, I think. By that, I mean what I just did. Davo 10:42, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

Recent Edits

I'm not sure why nobody ever mentions this, but us Staff members have bots that can do those really annoying replacement edits really quickly. It's as simple as putting in what word we want to replace, what to replace it with and BAM! It does all the pages. Just a reminder for the future, simply ask one of us if you would like a bot to replace a word or phrase over many pages --User Firestorm Flame.png Firestorm 15:49, 30 May 2011 (UTC)

Ok, sorry. I just feel like I have nothing better to do. Davo 15:50, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
Nono, I'm not chastising you, I'm just letting you know that the resource is there. If you would prefer to do the edits yourself, that's perfectly fine. Also, please have your signature on the same line as your comment --User Firestorm Flame.png Firestorm 15:51, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
Again, alright. I'll think about it. I do like doing the meticulous edits and I didn't know about that same line thing. Davo 15:53, 30 May 2011 (UTC)

Need a little help or so

Hey Davo, another contributer. I was wondering how you got those "boxes" that you have on your user page. I think they are really cool and just to know if I have to do anything specific to get them or just copy and paste. Danke! KSquared 21:03, 2 January 2013 (PST)

Basically, they're userbox templates, and there's a page category full of them. The page is found here: http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Team_Fortress_Wiki:User_info_boxes Feel free to look at the source of my user-page to see how they need to be set up if you want more than 1 in groups.
