« | Hey You! Yeah you — Action fan! Buckle up and hunker down as Valve launches an A-tomic jet fueled knuckle sandwich right into the doughy bread baskets of the world's battle game blowhards!
Those other feeble fight games (and the old maids that play'em and the momma's boys that make'em!) better head for the fainting couch, because this one's the gut-grabbinest, gut-rippenest, strangle-you-with-your-own-grabbed-gutsiest battle thriller ever seared onto your monitor — with pixels that are 5% human blood! — Valve

First revealed at the July 19, 2006 EA Summer Showcase event, this trailer showcased Team Fortress 2's dramatic change in visual style and gameplay from its initial design.
The trailer, since it is showing a early rendition of the game, contains several differences from the final product:
- The general design of all the characters is somewhat different. it is more apparent in some classes than others, such as the Engineer and Soldier.
- The muzzle flares were somewhat cartoony in style.
- The Spy wields a Tranquilizer.
- The Scout is shown wielding a Submachine Gun, which was later replaced with a Nailgun and finally the Scattergun. The Submachine Gun found its way into the hands of the Sniper.
- The Demoman is shown wielding and throwing a Dynamite pack (MIRV Grenade), a would be stay-over from Team Fortress Classic, which was removed from the game following beta and replaced with sticky bombs.
- The Medic is shown wielding a giant syringe, which was later replaced by the Medigun as Valve wanted to add a more distinctive indication of the Medic's healing ability.
- The Medic is also shown wearing a stethoscope, which was later removed (though it can be see in his cubby in the spawn rooms).
- The picture showing all the classes at the end is the outdated version featuring the older designs and weapons.
- The Soldier's taunt is similar in the finished game, except that the earlier version doesn't include screaming. Note that the sound of the spade hitting the helmet differs too.
- The Soldier's Rocket Launcher is a single loaded RPG, much like it was in TFC.
- The Soldier's face texture and model shape is vastly different to the final release version, unlike the rest of the classes, which retain a very similar appearance from early trailers, right up to the final release version.
- The Pyro has a skull insignia behind him in the scene where he flames the camera which has not yet reappeared in any form. This skull was used for the RED team's logo in TFC.
- The Engineer's Sentry Gun (not shown) was planned to be a Half-Life Sentry Gun including a small and big one. Also, the elements were planned to be just exactly like TFC, like the RED and BLU flags.
- 2fort has also seen numerous other smaller changes like a different lighting in the basement room or the use of stairs as entrances to the forts instead of ramps.
- The train model used outside the BLU base is substantially different and blue colored.
