The Kukri is the melee weapon for the Sniper class. It is essentially a Kukri, namely a heavy Nepalese Knife.

Snipers proficient with this weapon will be able to take down Spies aiming to catch a player offguard, as well as most other classes that may attempt to attack at close range.

The Critical hit animation of the Kukri is a double handed overhead swing, similar to the Pyro's normal melee attack and the Eyelander's Critical swing.

• Valve Weapon Statistics incorrectly lists this weapon as a "Club".
• It is possible the Sniper nicknamed his Kukri "Sharpy," based on one of his melee dare sound files.
• The Kukri is a dagger that originated in Nepal and was used as a weapon, tool, and for religious purposes.
• It is possible that The Kukri is based off the knife used by Crocodile Dundee in the classic Australian film to scare away an attacker with a much smaller knife simmilar to that of the Spy
