Pumpkin Bombs are an environmental hazard unique to the event versions of Harvest and Mann Manor. They occur at certain spots on the map and will explode when shot with a weapon, causing high damage over a moderate radius. After a short amount of time they will respawn, ready to be blown apart again.
In order to obtain the Attack o' Lantern scarechievement, players must cause the deaths of 5 opponents by exploding nearby pumpkin bombs. This achievement is only available during the annual Hallowe'en Special.
Pumpkin Jump
A player can perform a 'pumpkin jump' by standing on or near a pumpkin bomb, and either jumping or attacking it point blank. This will launch the player up in the air in a similar fashion to a rocket jump. While this carries the player an impressive distance, it is a highly damaging technique and might instantly kill weaker classes.
Exploding a Pumpkin
Any bullet, melee attack, or projectile may be used to explode a pumpkin (even Jarate and Mad Milk), and any projectile used to explode the pumpkin bomb will be destroyed. Fire, however, will not trigger an explosion.
- See the projectile article for a full list.

Bugs
- Having the Rocket Jumper or Sticky Jumper equipped will nullify the damage you would normally take if you shot the pumpkin, even if it hits someone else. You take damage normally if an enemy blew it up.
- Standing in a Pumpkin Bombs location before it spawns will freeze the player in place, only being able to escape by blowing up the pumpkin or dying.
- It is possible to damage your own teammates with a pumpkin bomb if you trigger it with a Huntsman arrow, Jarate or Mad Milk. This is yet to be fixed by Valve.
