Improvements
I edited this page a great deal. Some of the hacks listed here were merely exploits or did not exist, giving the page the air of an urban legend. I hope the current list is more helpful. If anyone has any further suggestions, tell me and I'll try to improve this page. :) Zoolooman 18:21, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
- You cut out a lot of everything else as well. Not that I'm complaining, but now the page is a little squashed and bare in places, and the pictures are crammed up near the top.--Focusknock 18:23, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
- I'll look to add more content, if you like, but I pretty much covered the whole set of actual hacks. The unedited page was filled with myths like invulnerability hacks. What kind of extra content do you think the page could use? Zoolooman 21:05, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Impossible hacks?
Damage spread and critical hits sound like stuff that gets determined server side, which would make them pretty much unhackable. Do those really exist? --CruelCow 10:36, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- Yep. I sent you some Youtube videos, but I'm not posting them here to avoid people trying to download the related hacks. Zoolooman 15:25, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
Example of someone hacking
I don't know if anyone still reads the Talk for the Hacking page, but I recently found a speed hacker, and I thought it would be a good preview to show what that is here on this page. Should I put it on? Dannolizer 01:11, 13 March 2012 (PDT)
Offline
I had been thinking about this for a while. Is hacking in an offline game wrong in the terms of can it be tracked?--Magnum Force-Enforcer 12:19, 10 June 2012 (PDT)
Hacker on Xbox version
On the Xbox console version I had a case with a real hacker, who I think was called DR34M D0NUT5. Objects were changing color, staircase and barrel objects were being placed like crazy, moonjump for everybody, usernames changed, and the player in question was playing as a spy. But not a regular spy, a gigantic spy with pitch black texture and glowing white textures for eyes. It was impossible to get the intel [we were on 2fort], but then on the second encounter I jumped a few stairwells and sentries and then I had the intel held on my back. And then he closed the server. Should this be on the page? Fastpager200 (talk) 10:22, 13 November 2013 (PST)
- Not really. Most things we have is mainly concerning the PC version. We have very little to do with the Xbox version. Also, Hackers on xbox version, Pretty much exected and it seems its the most common hacks seem elsewhere on PC. So no. Not notable Ashes (talk) 10:24, 13 November 2013 (PST)
hacker named delete kevin and delete kevin.
Now, this guy, if you friend him then unfriend him, he can bypass chat security and talk to you even AFTER you block him and unfriend him. The one without the period uses aimbot, and the other one uses wallhacks. He will threaten to delete all of your games. This guy is unstoppable, I think. If steam/valve knew about him, he would be gone by now, and all of his accounts.
