“I built that.” This page contains information about a custom map that is not an officially released Team Fortress 2 map. All released Valve and Community-made TF2 maps can be found on the list of maps. |
Orange X3 is a community-made Standard Control Point map released in 2008. It consists of a base for each team, an open second point for each team, and a center point, located on a tower in the middle.
The objective of Orange X3 is to control all five capture points. Each team starts with their second and final control points locked, leaving only the middle point available.
Orange X3 includes fixes, new textures, new brushes and props, from the original map cp_orange_x.
Orange X3 became as one of the most popular custom maps, which now has many edited versions from other users.

Bugs
- Players can enter the opposite team's spawn.
- The roof in RED spawn and wood walls were painted with textures that can't be currently found in the game or they were renamed. Walking around the environment will change the lighting on these textures, from self-illuminated to dark. By aiming the texture and opening the scores' tabble will affect their lighting too.
- Some props doesn't have a collision for ragdolls and other items.
- The sunshine sprite has a wrong origin, different to the environment's light one, so it has a wrong location.
- Some textures aren't corretly aligned.
Trivia
- After cp_orange_x was released, GGODD2 asked the map's author to edit his map. The original conversation can be found here, where the map can be downloaded.
- The Skybox texture is named as sky_day01_01
