Test 1

Mock up of the table can be found here: User:Gabrielwoj/Sandbox. I was thinking on some stuff:
1. Make another bar showing the Collection title and remove the collection row from the table;
2- Possibly, make the table smaller, not having too much space between the content (Ex.: Not a huge row for the Scattergun, make it fit).

I updated it again, please re-check. User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 18:10, 3 July 2015 (PDT)
I think that's a good way to start. It's easy to read. Dogman15 (talk) 02:16, 4 July 2015 (PDT)
Yep. Also, I was thinking. Is the blood splatter random or only for Battle-Scarred, Well-Worn and Field-Tested conditions? Or depends weapon to weapon? Because the Antique Annihilator Mini Gun has some blood splatters on those variations. Sorry. I don't know enough about this stuff to answer that. Dogman15 (talk) 13:35, 4 July 2015 (PDT)

Finished Table

What do you guys think of this for the Decorated table page? Some images aren't there yet because they weren't listed on the market yet (I got the icons directly from the Steam Community Market). BLU variations images still doesn't exist, but I've sent an e-mail to TF Team asking for the BLU team variations (since they doesn't appear in SCM). User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 09:15, 5 July 2015 (PDT)

Still needing some images, but... very good at this point. — The preceding assigned comment was added by Tark {Finish Him!Contribs} 09:19, 5 July 2015 (PDT)
Looks really nice! One thing that bothers me might be the giant space surrounding the items in the first three rows, but I think this is unavoidable and it looks neat anyway. One more thing: I don't know how you made the weapon pictures, but they're lacking anti-aliasing. Not really visible when it's scaled down in the table, but I'd like to note it. { TidB | t | c | wt } 09:29, 5 July 2015 (PDT)
The icons from the Market lacks Anti-Aliasing because it's auto-generated from the textures and wears, currently nothing can be done, unless making our own anti-aliasing. User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 09:32, 5 July 2015 (PDT)
It's better than the Counter-Strike wiki, that's for sure. I like it. Dogman15 (talk) 22:43, 6 July 2015 (PDT)
When it's going to be implemented? User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 19:03, 7 July 2015 (PDT)
I say implement the moment it's done. It looks fantastic. --Dr. Scaphandre (talk) 01:07, 12 July 2015 (PDT)

Wrong color for quality? Also bad picture.

The text for the item quality is the same as it is for normal. i believe it needs to be more white, less grey. Also, that is a pretty bad example of a decorated weapon for the picture, it looks almost exactly like stock. Can we get a more unique coloration for the scattergun picture? DJLO (talk) 18:33, 7 July 2015 (PDT)

Maybe to something more different, there are several different Stickybomb Launchers. I may change it. User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 19:03, 7 July 2015 (PDT)
Done, I changed to Citizen Pain. The color of the quality represents the grade. Right now it's the Civilian color. Fix it if I'm wrong, I haven't really played TF2 without my custom stuff (which is outdated, showing the Decorated color as green). User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 08:48, 8 July 2015 (PDT)
looks great, danke kamerade DJLO (talk) 15:09, 9 July 2015 (PDT)

Expect pictures soon

I've found a way to load the Decorated weapons in HLMV. Expect Team-Colored images with proper anti-aliasing soon. As well, expect 3D Images as well. I have three requests for these changes.
The first: Add a team-color switcher to the Decorated table,
second: Update the Decorated template to work with non-backpack images (Now that I'll make these in HLMV, it's no longer need the backpack images, but it's still good having them on the Wiki as a repository archive),
and third: Add an drop-down list to the 3D Images infobox list that looks like this: imgur [mock-up] (There would be an arrow that the User can click it and select the grades and team-colored (in-case the weapon has team-colors). User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 11:50, 27 August 2015 (PDT)

Actually, I think only 2D images would work. There would be too much clutter in the 3D Image panel. User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 17:00, 29 August 2015 (PDT)

Pickup bug

Is the team colored weapon not changing color when picked up a bug? It makes sense that if you pick it up off the ground it wouldn't change color.

Coffin Nail?

Is the coffin nail supposed to be a cigarette pattern? I saw some places say coffin nail is slang for cigarette. Also, the weapons do look very much like a cigarette, with the orange stripe. And when the coffin nail skins are worn down, they get orange cinders everywhere. Hayzze (talk) 19:03, 19 February 2016 (PST)

Aparently yes. — The preceding assigned comment was added by Tark {Finish Him!Contribs} 07:51, 20 February 2016 (PST)

I added a point cause of this, although I didn't check the discussion before doing it. Archrelico "Mexi" 07:05, 23 April 2016 (PDT)

Regarding: Randomized Stickers and Textures for Tough Break skins

I'm not sure if anyone's seen this yet, but... this Steam guide writes extensively of something unique about Tough Break skins: varying stickers with differing rarities, and different colored textures. I think this is noteworthy enough to place into the wiki, but does anyone else think so? It's going to take a lot of extensive writing even if so. If no one's going to do it, I might do it myself if people agree to it. Archrelico "Mexi" 06:12, 23 April 2016 (PDT)

Nice find, I'm certain this is noteworthy. If there's nobody else helping you with this, I could try (despite having little knowledge about decorated weapons). Have you tried talking to the author of the guide already? I'm sure he'd be a great help. { TidB | t | c | wt } 06:36, 23 April 2016 (PDT)
I can try getting his help, sure. If others can agree to adding a section for this it'd be good enough reason to start, although I'm busy with updating Community Strategy pages right now. Archrelico "Mexi" 07:05, 23 April 2016 (PDT)

Under the "Bugs" section

"Team-colored Decorated weapons that are picked up by the player do not change to the color of the player's current team." I doubt this is a bug, if a picked up weapon retains all of it's qualities (e.g. ammo remaining, ubercharge left, etc.), it makes sense to retain the team color of the person who dropped it. I don't want to change anything on impulse, so let me know am I correct or not. MaxAlokin (Stuff I did) 05:06, 16 July 2016 (PDT)

Bug not a bug.

I am here to bring a topic to a higher ups attention by saying that the bug stating that the weapons color would not change to their team is not a bug but in fact intentional. This was previously mentioned by two other users but the problem was never solved. Yogneir (talk) 07:34, 16 December 2016 (PST)

It has been removed until further confirmation. At this point its on the fence until proven. Ashes (talk) 08:50, 16 December 2016 (PST)

War Paint Preview Images?

The War Paints don't have preview images, unlike the earlier decorated weapons. Since it's been nearly two years since the first batch of "War Paints" been added, we should get on this. Alert.pngThis page has been defiled by Jboby1! (U|T|C)Alert.png 21:41, 17 February 2019 (UTC)

Looks like there are about 32.279 different icons (default + festivized). I'm able to upload them, but I don't think we can display them using the current format (all weapons in a single table). Any ideas? — Tark lm(pt-br) 22:16, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
32k icons? How about we instead of showing the entire wear, just show it only in Factory New? User Hinaomi Hinaomi-sig.png Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 00:43, 2 June 2019 (UTC)
Yeah, just Factory New, if that much. (Mind you, I have never been a fan of the tables of all the paints.) Why not an applet where the user can just scroll through the permutations? M I K A D O 282 oOOOOo oo oo (talk) (Help Wanted!) 12:19, 2 June 2019 (UTC)
That would be 3.227 images (excluding festive variants). — Tark lm(pt-br) 14:54, 2 June 2019 (UTC)
I don't supposed any skins involved can be rendered on demand. I have always assumed that the arrays of painted variants can be generated programatically, so why not an application that just enables the user to pick paints, decorations, etc., for an item; isn't all that data already out there, I ask, perhaps naively, as someone who is really not at all interested in decoration and paints (except Halloween die jobs, should they rise again)?
