Hello, TheRealLawreV2!
Welcome to the Official Team Fortress Wiki!
Here are a few links to get you started:
- If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
- If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
- Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
- To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
- You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
- When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
- This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
- Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
- When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
- You can use the button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
- If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
- If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
- You can also customize your user page if you like.
- When uploading images for use on your user page, please add the prefix User TheRealLawreV2 to the file's name.
- Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:TheRealLawreV2/ to the page title when you create the page.
Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress Wiki!

Translating pages
Hi TheRealLawreV2,
This is in reference of Hightower/it.
Please don't just copy and paste the English text into non-English pages. It's preferred for you to create the translated article rather than just create an article with English texts.
Yossef • Talk 12:58, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
- Please focus on translating one article at the time, no need to create additional articles using their English text and translating them one step at the time.
- If the article is too big to translate in one sit, you can always create your own Sandbox (or use your local Notepad) and translate there at your own pace.

Show preview + translating pages
Hello, TheRealLawreV2.
Please make sure to use the Show preview button when editing and creating pages, as it allows you to see your changes/creations in effect before committing to them. It also allows for fewer edits, which are preferable over multiple, small edits.
As for translating articles, I recommend you read the language translation help page if you haven't already. Also, if you can't finish a translation in one session, please add {{trans}}
at the very top of the page (then remove it once the translation is complete).
Cheers, and welcome to the TF Wiki. - BrazilianNut (talk) 14:22, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
Show preview 2
Please make use of the Show preview button. It gives you a preview of the edit you are making, allowing you to perfect your changes before you save the page. You can edit the whole article by clicking the edit button at the top of the page, which is preferable to editing multiple sections consecutively.
GrampaSwood (talk) 18:32, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
Hey. I'm sorry about this, I'll try to use the preview button next time I'll edit something, so I don't make thousands of useless mini edits.
Hope you're fine, I should have read all these messages. I should have known about a talk page (which I didn't know about cuz I don't car reading all the things the bot tells you as you join the wiki. Maybe it doesn't say anything about a talk page, but how could I know? I didn't read it lol.) Bye TheRealLawreV2 (talk) 17:02, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
Trivia submission
Hi TheRealLawreV2, your recent addition of trivia has been reverted because it did not meet our trivia guidelines. In short, trivia entries should...
- ... be facts, not speculation.
- ... be about the released content only.
- ... not be obvious for somebody who has played Team Fortress 2 for a small amount of time.
- ... make the reader say "Wow! I did not know that!"
- ... not be information that belongs in other parts of the page.
For a full explanation including examples, check out our trivia style guide!

Show preview 3
Please make use of the Show preview button. It gives you a preview of the edit you are making, allowing you to perfect your changes before you save the page. You can edit the whole article by clicking the edit button at the top of the page, which is preferable to editing multiple sections consecutively.
Additionally, please bare in mind that this is the third instance that you receive this message. If you keep ignoring the warnings, it will result in a ban.
Yossef • Talk 14:47, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
Temporary ban
Please don’t ignore the warnings from staff members. Further continuity of this will result in longer ban periods.
Yossef • Talk 15:12, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
Hi again Yossef. I just noticed that the ban was only for 2 hours, I'm deleting that alt account now (ByeTest, I even left you a message on your talk page lol. I should pay more attention to things) and keeping this account instead.
I'm really sorry I didn't read all the messages you guys of the wiki left me, I promise I'll try my best to translate pages, and will use the preview thing to see my edits without making thousands of little edits, so I can translate the whole pages in only 1 edit.
Thank ya. Im not English so if you see I made grammar mistakes here, you know why. TheRealLawreV2 (talk) 16:32, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hi,
- Please refrain from making new accounts while being banned, this will affect your ban period.
- As mentioned above, you can work on your own local Notepad, and from there you can work at your own pace, and when you’re done, you can simply copy the translation from there and paste it in the wiki.
- Also, please check the messages you receive from now own, they might contain useful information that can help you. Regardless, appreciate your help and willing to contribute.
- Yossef • Talk 17:04, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
Thanks :D Also, if I'm working the wrong way again, don't hesitate to send me messages, I'll read em this time! TheRealLawreV2 (talk) 17:13, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
Categories
Hi there,
When adding categories to a translated page, don't forget the language code. i.e. Category:Weapons/it instead of Category:Weapons.
GrampaSwood (talk) 21:04, 21 February 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for the reminder :)
