Game mode(s)

I'm not clear on this game mode having game modes thing. It says that Control Point is a game mode. Later, it says that it has two game modes itself. (A different page says it has three game modes.) Shouldn't the wording be changed for that subsection? Or do game modes have game modes within themselves? If you click on 'Start Playing' in TF2, it doesn't give you the option of picking "Control Point – Attack/Defend" or "Control Point – Standard Control Point". By the way, and I'm not saying that these are not modes, but why does TF2 only give you the option of playing "Payload", "King of the Hill", "Attack/Defense", "Payload Race", "Control Points", "Capture the Flag", and "Random"? Where is "Arena" and "Territorial Control", not to mention the "other modes" (not including "Training" since I see that easily) I read about? Rolandius 05:54, 7 October 2011 (PDT)

Strategy section is empty

All it contains is a redirect. Should we even include it, or rather include it in the See also?

I think it's meant to be just a redirect. Lots of other pages do it. Paint Splat TheValueOfTeamwork.png ClockworkSpirit2343 Scout emblem RED.png 09:01, 16 July 2016 (PDT)

Medieval-style Maps

With the addition of Burghausen to the game, the Medieval-style description for Attack/Defend maps no longer applies to every Medieval map. I'm not fully sure how to address it, outside of simply just rewriting the description to be a shortened description of Medieval Mode. Given that the Medieval Mode page already lists the official maps for the mode, it's always an option to remove it from the styles entirely, but I think it's worth keeping the designation seeing as Medieval Mode maps do play quite differently from other maps in the category. Personally, I'll probably just go with making it a short description of Medieval Mode if nobody has any objections. I honestly don't think it justifies its existence. Medieval is a modifier, not its own style, as shown by the fact that it has one pyramid-style map and one linear multi-stage map. It's essentially a whitelist and a chat filter, both of which could be applied to any mode in the game. The maps can stay in the list, but I would just put them in their respective categories rather than make a unique category just for them; all that does is erase their actual format.
