El Buscador de Servidores en Team Fortress 2.

El Buscador de Servidores de Steam muestra a los jugadores una lista de servidores disponibles donde escojer uno donde jugar. Esta herramienta contiene una serie de filtros y opciones que nos ayudaran a elegir un servidor que se ajuste a nuestro gusto y posibilidades.

Fila Superior

Internet

Muestra una lista general que hay en Internet. Los servidores que no cumplan los filtros seleccionados no se mostrarán en la lista. La lista no se generará hasta que se pulse el botón Actualización rapida o Actualizar todos.

Favoritos

En esta lista se pueden añadir servidores haciendo clic previamente en un servidor y pulsando el botón Añadir servidor a favoritos. Se guardarán todos los servidores añadidos para encontrarlos más fácilmente en un futuro.

Historial

Una lista de los servidores que anteriormente hemos visitado. Los servidores pueden suprimirse de esta lista haciendo clic izquierdo en el nombre de un servidor y despues pulsando la opción Borrar servidor del historial.

Espectador

Esta opción no se suele usar normalmente en los servidores. Esta característica nos llevará a los servidores que este ejecutando la opción Source TV. Esta opción se suele usar en los torneos o competiciones, donde no se pueden añadir más jugadores pero hay usuarios interesados en visionarlo.

Lan

Muestra la lista de partidas en una conexión local.

Amigos

Muestra los servidores donde estan jugando tus amigos de Steam.

Servidores Bloqueados

Los servidores de esta lista son añadidos como en la de Favoritos. Esta función se utiliza para colocar servidores donde se ha tenido una mala experiencia y no quieres que vuelvan a ser mostrado en las anteriores funciones.

The bottom part of the window will only show three options for this menu only.

  • Importar servidores desde fichero Añade un archivo txt donde podra añadir una lista de IP's de servidores que quiera incluir en esta lista.
  • Añadir el servidor actual Añade el servidor donde actualmente estamos conectados a la lista.
  • Añadir un servidor Añade un servidor desde su dirección IP.

Ventana Principal del Navegador

En la parte superior de la lista de servidores se encuentra una serie de botones para poder ordenarlos alfabeticamente, por numero y por iconos.

Protegido con contraseña

Muestra el icono de un candado cerrado si el servidor tiene una contraseña para poder entrar

VAC Secure

Se mostrará el icono de un escudo si tiene activada la opción Valve Anti-Cheat. En estos servidores no podran entrar jugadores con cheats. Los servidores sin esta opción activada corren el riesgo de que entren tramposos.

Servidores

Ordena alfabeticamente los servidores de forma descentende y viceversa por su nombre.

Partida

Muestra el juego o Mod al que se esta jugando en ese servidor. Normalmente dira Team Fortress 2, pero puede mostrar otros como Freeze Tag o Prop Hunt.

Jugadores

Muestra el numero de jugadores en la partida y el máximo permitido.

Mapa

Muestra el mapa actual al que se esta jugando.

Latencia

Muestra el ping, o lo que tarda el servidor en recibir y enviar paquetes de información segun la zona donde estes.

Etiquetas

Muestra las etiquetas que tiene este servidor. Algunas de las etiquetas son:

  • cp - En este servidor se esta jugando el modo Puntos de Control.
  • ctf - En este servidor se esta jugando el modo Captura la Bendera.
  • Payload (or pl) - En este servidor se esta jugando el modo Carga Explosiva.
  • plr - En este servidor se esta jugando el modo Carrera de Vagonetas.
  • koth - En este servidor se esta jugando el modo Rey de la Colina.
  • arena - En este servidor se esta jugando el modo Arena.
  • alltalk - Este servidor tendra el chat de micro abierto para ambos equipos.
  • norespawntime - Este servidor, tendra el tiempo minimo o no tendra respawning.
  • nocrits - En este servidor, los críticos aleatorios están desactivados.
  • allcrits - En este servidor, todos los disparos realizados serán críticos.


Botones Inferiores

Bajo la lista de servidores, se puede encontrar una serie de filtros para aplicar a la busqueda de servidores.

Tags bar

Adding certain words or tags to this bar allows a player to refine searches by special features of listed servers. The first box can be selected to show include or do not include for the following tags inside the box to the right. The middle box is where a player may enter tags, separating each tag by a comma, with no spaces. The third box that says Add common tags... is a popup box that shows a list of the most commonly used tags.

Partida

Esta opción es fija y no se puede modificar, siempre mostrará Team Fortress 2.

Mapa

Allows a player to type in the name of the desired map, including the map type prefix. The browser will purge any current servers not playing maps with the typed name.

Numero máximo de jugadores

Allows players to set a maximum threshold of total player slots per server. Setting the number to 24 will purge any servers from the list that has 25 or more player slots in a server.

Lista simplificada

A click-able box that changes the text list into a picture list showing the map and groups of servers playing on that map, with the most optimal server based on filters showing first.

Latencia

The time it takes to send and receive packets to and from the server. Omits servers which have ping above the filter's limit.

Localización

Can be selected to give a general location of where a particular server is located.

Selectable locations are:

  • <All>: Displays all servers no matter which location. The box is left blank.
  • US - East: Relatively eastern part of the United States.
  • US - West: Relatively western part of the United States.
  • South America: Includes Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela and others.
  • Europe: Includes the United Kingdom, France, Norway, Germany, Spain, Russia, and others.
  • Asia: Includes China, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, and others.
  • Australia: Includes New Zealand and others.
  • Middle East: Includes Iraq, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran, and others.
  • Africa: Includes over 50 countries on the African continent.

Antitrampas

Selects a server with or without VAC.

When checked, will not show servers that have no available player slots.

Tiene usuarios jugando

When checked, will not show servers that have no players on them.

No está protegido mediante contraseña

When checked, will not show servers that require a password to join.

Filtros

The filters button shows and hides options for the server configuration. Options include max players, password protected, VAC secure, server full, has users playing, map, and tags (e.g bots)

Actualizar todos

Completely refreshes the list of servers, updating all the server data.

Actualización rápida

Refreshes only the current servers listed.

Conectar

Connects to the current selected server, if the server is full, it shows the Server info tab.

  • Added "Custom" tab to the server browser.
    • Servers can now specify metatags describing the custom rules they've adopted.
    • Players can use tag filtering to find servers running the custom rules they want to play.
    • Added options for servers who want to become custom games: Disable Critical hits (tf_weapon_criticals), eliminate respawn times (mp_disable_respawn_times), and raise maxplayers above 24.

February 29, 2008 Patch

  • Fixed Internet and Custom tabs in the server browser not correctly displaying the server info when going back and forth between the two tabs

March 6, 2008 Patch

  • Removed sv_alltalk from the list of convars that affect custom server tags
  • Updated the URL used for the "Click for more info on custom servers" link on the Custom tab
  • Fixed Internet and Custom tabs in the Server Browser not correctly displaying the server information for servers when going back and forth between the two tabs
  • Fixed SourceTV servers not being displayed in the Spectate tab for servers with custom server tags
  • Fixed servers with maxplayers <= 24 that are running SourceTV having the "increased_maxplayers" tag added for their server

March 20, 2008 Patch

  • Replace underscores in map names with spaces so custom maps with names like cp_gravel_pit will show as "GRAVEL PIT"
