Birds appear in 21 selected maps of Team Fortress 2. Ammusingly, this is the same at the number of Saxxy Video Award Winners. There are 78 birds in total which explode when the player shoots them, hits them with a melee weapon, or walks over them. A list of locations for the birds can be found here

- [Undocumented] Birds have been added to all Valve-made maps.
Trivia
- Birds can be seen in the teaser Medic picture and the dove on the "Ubi Concordia, Ibi Victoria" achievement [1].
- The birds explode when shot, hit, or touched by a player.
- A dropped Sandvich can set them off as well.
- The explosion does no damage or knockback.
- An exploded bird will re-appear at the start of a new round.
- Birds can be seen on one of the monitors behind the Administrator in Meet the Director comics. [2]
