Talk:Coaching
Do you think this system is considered a mod? I didn't really get the idea of it. ~Sonic 23:07, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
- No, it's an addon type of thing that allows one to coach another student ingame. Completely legitimate. Fyahweather 13:28, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- According to Escapist Magazine, and confirmed by Valve, the system was initially developed for DOTA2, but naturally it is being tested in TF2.

Suggestion/Critique
As NVis points out in the revision history, suggestions and critique should not be in the bug section. Is there any objection to creating a suggestions section? Sloth 05:09, 30 June 2011 (PDT)
- Unfortunately feedback discussion is out of the article's scope. While your points are valid, I feel they are more suited for the Steam Forums. — 05:12, 30 June 2011 (PDT)
Bugs
"When the student alters their loadout or class, the coach will be warped back to them." - is this really a bug? Seems more like a useful feature to me given that tactics change with class/loadout. - update - this was introduced in March_11,_2011_Patch_(Beta) for respawns. Sloth 05:26, 30 June 2011 (PDT)
Is it a bug that a student joining spectator keeps the coach in coach mode? They can move around and spectate as normal so I'm not sure. Sloth 05:36, 30 June 2011 (PDT)
- I think it is a bug. I don't know if it is fixed yet, but there was once an exploit, where the student joined Spectator, the coach joined one of the team, and the coach then could noclip over the map. [1] –Shiko 05:45, 30 June 2011 (PDT)
Coaching button
The coaching button changed (I think when the update left beta) from a headset (as in the current top-right article picture) to a loudspeaker (shown in the gallery). A high-quality version of the loudspeaker image should replace the headset image in the article.
