Description
"Is an enemy player questioning your skills, personal hygiene, and/or ancestry? Use these stylish firearms to challenge them to a duel! See the Mann Co. Catalog for full details.
This item is an Action Item. Click on the backpack's 'Use' button to use it. Alternatively, equip it in the Action slot of a class loadout and press the 'Use Item in Action Slot' key, which can be bound in the keyboard settings.
This Action Item enables the Dueling Mini-Game. When used, it allows you to challenge a player on the opposite team to a duel. If they accept, the duel begins. This item will not be consumed if the other player refuses the duel.
At the end of the round, whoever has more duel points wins. Kills and assists against your opponent are worth 1 point.
This item will be refunded if the server changes level or the score is tied 0-0 at the end of the round.
This item can be used by all classes. This item is equipped in the Action loadout slot."
When activated, the game will ask if the player wants to challenge someone on their friends list (needs to be playing TF2) or someone on the server they're currently on. A notification will pop up when the challenge is activated. The opponent must then choose to either accept or deny the challenge. If yes, the duel begins. If no, the item is refunded. If the player challenges someone on a server, everyone currently in the server will be notified.
Gameplay
The goal is to obtain Duel Points by killing the opposing dueler. The player's opponent will have an icon above his head to identify him.
Whoever has more duel points by the end of the round wins and goes up level (and obtains the Bronze Dueling Badge if they haven't already. The same goes for the loser). Alternatively, if one of the duelists leaves, his opponent wins.
The Dueling Mini-Game is cancelled if one of the user disconnects through lag, the server resets or the map changes.
Cost
The Dueling Mini-Game item costs $0.99 USD or 0.99€ for 5 uses. It is a level 5 item.
On occasion, you can find this item as a drop. When found as a drop, it only has 1 use.
Winning Badges
By winning a duel, you earn a medal. This medal initially starts as the Bronze Dueling Badge and is Level 1. For every 10 duels you win, you increase the level of your Dueling Badge. At certain levels, your medal will increase in quality.
Level 1: Bronze Dueling Badge
Level 25: Silver Dueling Badge
Level 50: Gold Dueling Badge
Level 75: Platinum Dueling Badge
