The Grenadier's Softcap is an unlockable headwear item for the Soldier released with the Polycount pack. It is a part of the 'Tank Buster' pack, which was contibuted by 'Larolaro', and appears as a worn out black cap. The style of the cap complements the grungy black textures used in the 'Tank Buster' pack.
As with all of the item set hats, this hat can be crafted from four Refined Metals and one weapon from the Tank Buster set.
Item set
This item is part of the Tank Buster set. When the entire set is worn, the set provides this additional bonus:
- +20% sentry damage resistance on wearer

Trivia
- The Softcap makes the Soldier look shockingly similar to Hoffman from the Gears of War series.
- This is one of the 2 non-event Soldier hats that allow players to see his eyes, the other one being the Dr's Dapper Topper.
