偵察兵是決地要塞經典版中可使用的職業之一。就和絕地要塞 2 一樣，經典版的偵察兵是速度最快也最脆弱的職業，不論是指他的武器或裝甲。他的武器適用在近距離戰鬥而非遠距離使用。 He is also the only class that does not possess one custom and one normal grenade, and instead has two custom grenades.

基本策略

• 保持不斷移動。

• 報告敵人的動向。

• Call for assistance when needed.

• 用敵人無法預測的方式移動。

• 請使用你的特殊能力。

• 善用你的速度配合bunnyhopping，strafe jumping and 衝擊跳.

• 在敵人的步哨槍死角或攻擊範圍外使用釘槍破壞它。

• 不要嘗試殺死對手。 It should only be done as a joke or as humiliation, 偵察兵主要的職能是搶奪旗子的專家。 The only enemy a Scout can possibly engage with greater luck of killing is another enemy Scout.

能力

職業技能: 在奪旗地圖中案下次要鍵顯示敵我雙方的旗幟狀態。在 The Rock 顯示敵我雙方的毒氣室鑰匙狀態。（功能同預設鍵 i ）

特殊能力:

• 碰觸敵方間諜解除他的偽裝。
• 碰觸以解除敵方爆破兵的高爆炸藥。

Quake 版指令能力：
