Communities vs. Pros 4
Contents
Status
Currently in the registration state. We need players! Sign up below.
Note: We will most likely be chosen if we enter. For Communities vs. Pros 3, we were scheduled to have a player in the Engineer slot, but due to some communication difficulties we were pushed to first backup position. I think we'll be the top candidate for Communities vs. Pros 4.
Summary
This event pits a pro 6v6 team against a team of nine community representatives playing as a Highlander team. I would like to pull together between two and six people to list as entrants to represent the Official TF Wiki. Up to three classes can be registered. For each registered class, two players (a main and an alternate/backup) MUST be nominated. Robin Walker may also be representing as one of the nine players on our team.
'The pro team is currently unknown. More details will be forthcoming, but CvP3 had Classic Mixup:
- harbleu: Medic
- Platinum: Demoman
- TLR: Soldier
- relic: Soldier
- moose: Scout
- enigma: Scout
Huge names in competitive TF2. I expect this round to have really strong players too. The event will be heavily publicized and will be streamed live. A video will also be downloadable/streamable in the future. Let's represent the wiki in the public spotlight.
Eligibility
- No player may have ever been registered in a competitive 6v6 league. That means no ESEA, CEVO, TWL, ETF2L 6v6, UGC 6v6, etc. experience.
- Competitive Highlander experience (e.g., UGC, ETF2L) is allowed but not required.
- No VAC bans allowed, obviously. I think a trade ban is okay.
- Must have Mumble and a working microphone.
- Must be able to commit to a set schedule for practice. There will be a lot of practicing before the event with other pro players.
- Must have good sportsmanship, be a team player, and bring a positive experience to the event.
Applications
Note: you may not get picked, depending on the popularity of your desired class(es) and the number of entrants.
Name | Steam profile | Region/area | Classes (order of preference) | Comments |
---|---|---|---|---|
Firestorm | kicker2 | Canada | Yarr! Participation in previous Highlander matches as Heavy here, good with most classes. Let's do this! | |
TheDoctor | reineseele | Germany | No experience yet so far, but saw a lot of matches and want to try it. Hopefully i can. Thanks. | |
RedXM | RedXM117 | US | Signed up last time, didn't quite work out (I still enjoyed watching it!). Available every day of the week at most times except for some minor exceptions. | |
Sven | callmeSven | US East | I signed up for Community vs Pros 3, in which RedXM and I were actually chosen to be the Engineer for the Community's team. Since that plan sort of "fell through," I've joined with a team that's currently in the UGC Highlander tournament, adding to my ETF2L and TF2Lobby experience. I've got mumble, a mic, and time. Let's do this for real this time. | |
The Noble Scout | thenoblescout | Norway | Member in the Team Fortress Wiki EU. Played both season 1 and season 2 of the ETF2L Highlander and season 6 in UGC League and are going to play season 7. Got the requirement and all. Good with Scout, Demoman, Spy and Sniper. Available every day throughout the summer vacation (starting at June the 19th to somewhere around August) around 6PM and forward towards 3 AM in the morning. | |
Freakie | freakie | Denmark | A killer Heavy (literally). Also play currently in a div 4 (Wireplay) team. | |
Oxo Cuboid | OxoCuboid | UK | No previous experience with any competitive TF2 but have been playing for some time now. I joined the wiki recently in order to be able to contribute to such an excellent community and I feel that the opportunity to compete with members or said community would be a pleasure, an honour and an interesting way to immerse myself within the wiki's community and integrate with its members. If it helps, I have watched many videos from the likes if VanillaTV and Salamancer, so I hope I'm not a complete noob to the intricasies of competitive play. | |
kahoks_owns | 76561198045758530 | US | Have been playing tf2 for about a year now and feel I can play pretty good I was gonna be in UGC but then I decided I wanted more practice before that and now I feel I'm ready. That and I wanna see how far I can take the pros on a exciting fun filled game. |
