The Heavy

The Deflector is a primary weapon used by the Deflector Heavy in Mann vs. Machine mode. Its model and functionality are identical to those of the Minigun. When used by Deflector Heavies, the weapon disables projectiles, causing them to drop from the air. When carried by the Giant Deflector Heavy, it also uses different spin up and firing sound effects, as well as different tracer effects from the Minigun, with a green tracer effect rather than the usual yellow.

Trivia

  • While the Deflector itself cannot be obtained by players, its effect on projectiles is available as the “Destroy Projectiles” upgrade for the Heavy's primary weapon in Mann vs. Machine mode.
