Valve are cool and have APIs all over the place.

Web API

Publicly listed API, focused around Steam Community, economy, and other externally-intended interfaces.

Storefront API

API used for Big Picture mode, containing methods relating to storefront.

Dota2.com API

API used within Dota 2 and Dota2.com, with methods fordetailed information on heroes and gameplay items.
