Paintable?

Is it paintable or not? I need proof.  –  Duel RED.png Epic Eric Duel BLU.png (T | C) 00:53, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

The API says it isn't, so I guess not.  – User Ohyeahcrucz Sig.png Ohyeahcrucz [T][C] 00:54, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Well, ballad's pic on the IRC channel says otherwise. :P  –  Duel RED.png Epic Eric Duel BLU.png (T | C) 00:56, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
But Alex2539's pic proves me wrong. Okay, I'll remove all the paint stuff.  –  Duel RED.png Epic Eric Duel BLU.png (T | C) 01:00, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
The hat does have painting textures though. Maybe Valve will just make it paintable through an update to the schema.  – User Ohyeahcrucz Sig.png Ohyeahcrucz [T][C] 01:05, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, having support for and being actually paintable are two different things. It's controlled by a paintable flag in the capabilities field of items_game/GetSchema. If that's not set, the game won't allow you to select the item in the paint selection dialogue. ~ Ath (talk) 01:15, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Should we list "has paintable textures, but they are not used" as a bug? Balladofwindfishes 16:09, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
That sounds logical. It sounds like Valve was just lazy and didn't make it paintable. I bet a future patch will fix that. Leaderboard class soldier.pngJust a Gigolo - (talk) 19:06, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
It's not a bug, Valve just simply haven't flagged it as paintable. It's happened before with the Potato hat. They'll probably make it paintable in a Schema update when they remove the untradable flag. ~ Ath (talk) 02:50, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
It's not a bug but it's trivia worthy methinks. User Moussekateer signature sprite.pngMoussekateer·talk 02:52, 2 June 2011 (UTC)

Reference Link?

Description is likely a reference to a troll text by BloodNinja.

WARNING! MATURE CONTENT! http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/text/bloodninja

Did not include link due to content. Is there a way to add a link with a content warning upon leaving the wiki? Piogre 01:01, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

It seems encyclopedic enough to include. The content of this wiki is mature by extension from the content of the game... --Minwu 01:27, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

Know your meme may provide a bit more info for this, and considering you have the dilemma with the spy and scout's mom, the content is about the same. --EvilDeadFan Pyro Blue Big.jpg 01:49, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
They love memes in Magicka, so it's probably based on that. Leaderboard class soldier.pngJust a Gigolo - (talk) 04:50, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Oops, thought the link was to the Know your meme article. Yeah, the current in-article reference is good enough. Minwu 23:45, 2 June 2011 (UTC)

Buy dlc-Magicka and play?

Just thought that i could buy magicka for 1$ then wait and then sell it for profit. Is it possible to buy that without having the game? Can you play with the dlc alone? Why i ask you that? I travel now and will be offline for 3h xD godlike11219

You have to have the game to buy DLC. It's an awesome game, just buy it. Leaderboard class soldier.pngJust a Gigolo - (talk) 09:22, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Alternatively if you dont care about the game, you could buy the dlc for a friend that has the game already and have them send it to you when it becomes tradable ~Merple talk 19:27, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

Uncraft Version

I was just wondering if it should be put in there how an uncraftable version was obtained since one exists. Legomaster445 (talk) 20:03, 11 April 2014 (PDT)

No, we don't list those at all. Notice how other pages don't list "Uncraftable" versions or odd versions of items. Same thing applies. We don't list them. Ashes (talk) 20:13, 11 April 2014 (PDT)
