Electrifying Taunt

The Grordbort blurb image notes a "Eureka Effect Electrifying Taunt". Considering it reasonably probable that it refers to a taunt used by equipping the Eureka Effect (Not unlike the grenade taunt from equipping the Equalizer), should mention be given at least to its existence in the main article? --Lyinginbedmon 08:14, 15 December 2011 (PST)

It's probably better to just wait for the update to drop rather than speculate about it. I'll update the trivia point I added to mention the taunt's name, though. Dragonsbrethren 08:46, 15 December 2011 (PST)

Instant Teleport

Shouldn't someone mention that this weapon's Alt-Fire (Teleport to spawn) is somehow related to the scrapped Instant Teleport? // Arashi 09:29, 15 December 2011 (PST)

We don't even know if it's instant yet. It's a similar concept and probably will be mentioned, but let's at least wait until we can actually try the thing out. Dragonsbrethren 10:34, 15 December 2011 (PST)

Name

According to the Dr. Grordbort's page, this weapon is actually called the Wrenchmotron 600 and the Eureka Effect is just a taunt. Killicon scattergun.pngRedXM [T] – [C] 18:15, 15 December 2011 (PST)

According to the update page it is called The Eureka Effect. It is possible that is a misprint on their part, but for now this is what we will call the wrench. User M-NINJA Signature.png

"Teleport" vs. "Respawn"

The wrench actually doesn't teleport the player to spawn, it respawns the player (which is why the player's health, ammo, etc get refilled). Should this be mentioned somewhere? -FlaminSarge 01:52, 16 December 2011 (PST)

But do you have to wait the spawn time in order to return to the spawnpoint? If you don't, I think it can be called teleport. Maybe the health and ammo refill will be fixed later, who knows? --Peppo o'Paccio User Page (Talk / Contributions) 12:05, 16 December 2011 (PST)

Endround usage?

If this can be used during humiliation on the losing team, does this grant the Engineer the slim chance of telefragging an enemy who is in his team's spawn killing people or will the Engineer get stuck inside him or is the teleportation effect not usable at all? -- Psychopath User Psychopath avatar.png 08:16, 18 December 2011 (PST)

Should the taunt have its own page?

On one hand, Medicating Melody has a page. On the other, Sandvich eating does not. Balladofwindfishes 06:09, 4 January 2012 (PST)

Because Medicating Melody have effect to another player not self. I think this reason why it have own page. Hinaomi Killicon unarmed combat.png 06:11, 4 January 2012 (PST)
I don't think Medicating Melody needs to have it's own page. The info on it can EASILY be added into the main article on the Amputator page. This taunt does even less than MM, even if it didn't, I'd still say no. SS2R 06:13, 4 January 2012 (PST)
After some science, I've changed my mind. Both the Eureka and Sandvich taunt should have their own pages. SS2R 06:33, 4 January 2012 (PST)
both the sandvich taunt and this taunt deserve their own pages. They both effect the player in some way, whether it be killing, refreshing ammo, restoring health etc. other taunts are purely animation and do nothing for the player or have any effect to other surrounding players. in a nutshell these taunts actually affect the player in some way while others just do nothing. Eureka Effect Demonstration ideas

I say that there were no demonstration to Eureka Effect, as of yet. If anyone wants to make it, here's some ideas. It's right on the link (If I show it here, it won't look good) http://pastebin.com/1scXMZ25. I just need some feedback from you guys about these ideas. Xierra 20:14, 13 January 2012 (PST)

The Eureka Effect demonstration is a work in progress - see Team Fortress Wiki talk:Weapon Demonstration#Eureka Effect. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 08:09, 14 January 2012 (PST)

Oh. I'm really sorry for not realizing that page, But I'll be posting there soon. Thanks :D Xierra 05:52, 15 January 2012 (PST)

Died instead of teleport

When I usually play on a server (VSH to be exact), someone uses eureka effect taunt. The problem was that they died instead of teleporting. Is this the server problem or problem with the Eureka Effect? The preceding unsigned comment was added by One Hit Noob (talk) • (contribs) 04:37, 29 January 2012

That's not a bug I've heard of, so it was probably something to do with the server. Are you sure the player wasn't attacked and killed just before finishing the taunt? » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 03:08, 29 January 2012 (PST)
I think that engineer get shot during taunt with Eureka Effect. Hinaomi Killicon unarmed combat.png 05:14, 29 January 2012 (PST)
He wasn't attacked when this happened. Several people done it and they all died after teleporting. One Hit Noob 19:34, 30 January 2012 (PST)
Can we get a video or some sort of evidence this happened? I own one myself and I find I've never died instead of teleportation. Killicon wanga prick.png RED Itsy Bitsy Spyer.png Not Fyahweather C 19:49, 30 January 2012 (PST)
I have the replay, but I can't save it because it corrupts with the replay model loader. One Hit Noob 16:36, 18 February 2012 (PST)
According to the VSH article, the Eureka Effect is not allowed and is replaced with the Wrench when the match starts. I guess the reason people die instead of teleporting is because that weapon isn't allowed. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 05:13, 19 February 2012 (PST)
I play a different hale server that allows the eureka effect. But I have noticed one thing, I can use the teleport during setup but I would die after the round begins. One Hit Noob 07:06, 19 February 2012 (PST)
It might just be a quirk with the mod then. Not notable on the wiki anyway, as it's not an official game mode. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 08:42, 19 February 2012 (PST)

Switching from EE

The articles for every other Engie melee weapon all include this line: "Switching from the ____ to a different melee weapon will destroy all existing buildings." Is this not true for the Eureka Effect? I'd test this out myself and add the line, but I do not have the weapon in question. Ddhoward 20:24, 6 March 2012 (PST)

Confirmed. Adding the line to the page. Ddhoward 23:39, 11 March 2012 (PDT)

Picture error?

When i loaded up the eureka effect page I found there did not seem to be a picture of the weapon. Is this an error with the page, or just my computer? ColonelGaraffi 15:19, 10 July 2012 (PDT)ColonelGaraffi

Looks fine to me. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 16:52, 10 July 2012 (PDT)

Seems like the picture is cut halfway at the Engie's arm, that could be fixed DC64 (talk) 12:17, 25 January 2014 (PST)

He's talking about the infobox image, its fine. As for the 1st person images, that is suppose to be like that at a certain PoV setting we have as the standard. Ashes (talk) 13:42, 25 January 2014 (PST)

Demonstration Video

I will be working on the updated demonstration video, so this is just to let others know so they dont start only to find out its already been made. This topic will be deleted once I have submitted my video. TheGamerXym (talk) 01:19, 12 June 2014 (PDT)

Make sure to leave a note of this on the Weapon Demonstration page--Piemanmoo 01:23, 12 June 2014 (PDT)

2D Picture

I have started working on the 2D image for the Eureka Effect. This will be removed once submitted. TheGamerXym (talk) 14:30, 13 June 2014 (PDT)

More Pictures Needed

Now that this weapon has an additional menu, allowing you to choose your destination, I think this page needs pictures showing what that menu looks like, both with and without the Pip-Boy. Also, the Pip-Boy version should also be added to the Pip-Boy page. Litnin200 (talk) 13:52, 9 July 2014 (PDT)
