Hello, Valter!

Welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Official Wiki!

Here are a few links to get you started:

  • If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
  • If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
  • Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
    • To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
    • You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
  • When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
    • This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
    • Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
    • You can use the Signature Icon.png button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
  • If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
  • If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
  • You can also customize your user page if you like.
    • When uploading images for use on your user page, please add the prefix User Valter to the file's name.
    • Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Valter/ to the page title when you create the page.

Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Wiki!

Hungarian translations

Hello, Valter! Thank you for providing us some Hungarian translations. Keep the great job! Kösz.  –  Ricci «T | C» 06:02, 7 August 2014 (PDT)

Wikipedia links & item name templates

Hey, I saw you linked to the english wikipedia on your Oktoberfest translation although there is an hungarian wikipedia page about that topic. I don't know whether you just forgot to adjust the link or didn't know how to change it so I'm writing on your talk page. While we have a discussion on how to handle non-existing wikipedia pages, you can always safely link to the hungarian wikipedia if the desired page exists (just check it yourself if it's there) by replacing Caption with Caption.
The other thing is the item name template. You linked to the Kritzkrieg by writing Kritzkrieggel. However, when the hungarian STS (Steam Translation Server, the guys who translate the game itself) decide to rename the Kritzkrieg you have to update the name on all your pages with can be really time consuming. Luckily, we have the item name and the item link templates which are both very common. Whenever you want to link to a hat or a weapon you can use these templates with the english name of the item. So in your case: Kritzkrieg will create a link to the hungarian Kritzkrieg page (will look like: Kritzkrieggel). When you translate an item page, let's say the Ambassador, just write Ambassador instead of the translated hungarian name (Nagykövet) on that page so that it will be translated automatically aswell. If you have any questions (regarding templates etc.) write on my talk page or look for me on the IRC. Szia! User SackZement signature.gifSackZement <Talk> 06:41, 10 August 2014 (PDT)

Li'l fix

Hi there, just a quick note: You don't have to use DISPLAYTITLE on item (e.g. cosmetic & weapon) pages, but on all other pages, including item set articles. Additionally, since there are no Hungarian sounds, please add |en-sound=yes in the Quotation template.

Whoops, I didn't make myself clear, I think ;) Use en-sound=yes only when there's a sound related to the quotation. Otherwise, you can leave it as-is. { TidB | t | c | wt } 12:00, 10 August 2014 (PDT)

Signature

Hey, could you please chose a smaller signature/picture? The current one will create really ugly lines on talk pages.
I have a rather tall one myself but your goathead is severe overkill. Thanks User SackZement signature.gifSackZement <Talk> 04:56, 13 August 2014 (PDT)

Okay! I change my signature picture! (And sorry for the copy) User Valter Signature.jpg Valter <Talk> 06:22, 13 August 2014 (PDT)
