Rationale

Presently, commentary and references related to the content of the Map of Badlands are scattered amongst many trivia sections. Furthermore, there is additional information provided by the Map of Badlands that might not be best suited for further scattering in the trivia sections. Some facilities depicted on the map of Badlands have multiple game maps, each with their own wiki pages, each with their own trivia section with no basis for deciding on which page to place any particular point of trivia or reference. This duplication also leads to inconsistent discussion of the same information. Maintenance issues arise as information becomes obsolete, more background is revealed, and elements of the game are revised (eg., additions, changes, or fixes to maps items or rules).

With these issues in mind, this article Map of Badlands is meant to discuss the map itself in support of the article Badlands (Region), which itself is meant to draw on all background content for that geography (e.g., update pages and Comics as well as the map). In learning how the maps in the Shadow Boxers comic give the correct scale to Map of Badlands, I have revised the interpretation of the correspondence with New Mexico geography. I am considering moving the correlations with other states to notes in the Badlands (Region) article, since they are not specific to this map. Mikado282 (talk) 07:56, 1 September 2014 (PDT)

Clines Corners

For comparison, I would very much like to include (or at least mention and link here) Clines Corners' base relief map of the TF2 Badlands Region. It most wonderfully highlights many of the mountains, cities, and highways that correspond to the features of the Map of Badlands. In particular, it highlights the mountain peaks corresponding with Thunder Mountain and Upwards. Mikado282 (talk) 20:47, 5 April 2014 (PDT)
