This is a game play demonstration.

FortWars is a mod for Team Fortress 2 released by Matheus28. The goal is to construct a fortification before the round starts and use it as a base to capture the neutral flag. Players are given a money system along with a list of spawn-able props to construct their forts. The game is played in a neutral Capture the Flag game mode. This game mode is similar to Source Forts and Garry's Mod Fort Wars.

There is one modified version made by Slag called "FortWars 2", although the original author did not allow that name.

Gameplay

Players are divided by a transparent wall during setup time and must quickly construct their forts in the two minutes and thirty seconds allotted (Although this can be changed). Players can create their own spawn locations within or on top of their forts. The game plays similarly to any neutral Capture the Flag game with the exception of creating the forts. It is possible for custom spawn menus and commands to be added into the mod. Money is given for killing enemy players, with which you can construct more props to further strengthen your base but only during the allotted setup time.

Props

(Official props only, other props may be added through modules)

  • Pipe: A simple pipe, players can jump above it, if placed above another it can block players.
  • Barrel: A simple barrel, can be used to block the enemy path, so they do not have a clear line of sight of you. This props has 3 random models.
  • Pallet: Cheap and weak pallet, should be used inside your fort, to maker floors.
  • Concrete Block: One of the most useful props, players cannot jump above it and can make a good wall or barrier.
  • Stairs: A useful prop to connect different heights. It makes possible a one way only barrier.
  • Reinforcement: Prop used to fortify the props, it is very resistant. This props has 3 random models.

Commands

  • sm_fwhelp: Opens a help menu.
  • sm_fwmenu: Opens the spawning menu during setup.
  • sm_fwresetspawn: Resets your spawn location.
  • sm_unstuck: Triggers the unstuck.
