The Whiskered Gentleman is a community-created Miscellaneous item for the Pyro and was chosen by Valve to be released with the second wave of community-contributed content, due to its outstanding quality. It appears as a monocle, mustache, and goatee that the Pyro has taped onto their mask.

Notes
- The Whiskered Gentleman was originally a hat on release. It's item slot was changed to Miscellaneous the next day to suit combinations with hats.
- This is one of the few cases the Pyro's masculinity is referred to in-game. Other references, such as domination taunts from the other classes and the presence of a purse in the Pyro's locker, have all been feminine.
- The Whiskered Gentleman is taped on the Pyro's mask.
- The Whiskered Gentleman has a special sound only a key has, a soft jingle. Other hats, including Ze Goggles, Stainless Pot also have special sounds no other hat has.
