Talk:PASS Time Early Participation Pin
Faghetti V.2, I have done a bit of investigation on the so-called "craftable pins". I found out that sopelQ (the guy who crafted the pin) is an F2P who currently has 51 items in his inventory. This has led me to believe that he didn't actually craft the hat; he has an excessive amount of items in relation to his backpack size (50). I'm doubting that he actually crafted the hat, what with it costing 4 refined metal to do so. Unless he already had all that metal and randomly decided to craft it then and there, it's highly unlikely that he did. This is because he would have probably had crafted at least a Scrap Metal earlier, which would have allowed him to combine all of his items. This is further made unlikely by the fact that he had another 50 or so items that he could have used earlier, and by the fact that his inventory is so full that an item in it is currently floating in Limbo. Also, going into Backpack TF, I found out that the status of the origin of the item is "steam support", which is the same as all the other pins. What probably happened was some sort of glitch where it displays dropped items as being crafted. Interestingly enough, despite being an F2P, sopelQ has a single steam-purchased TF2 hat in his inventory. Including the hat, all of his inventory is untradable, according to Steam. However, according to BPTF, most of his items are tradable. In short: It was another glitch related to displaying the incorrect method of obtaining items. He may have crafted a weapon, and as it dropped, discovered the pin as well (which may have led to the pin being displayed as crafted), but not before deleting his new weapon, in order to save space. He didn't craft the pin.Hayzze (talk) 09:23, 29 December 2016 (PST)
