Heavy |
vs | Scout (match-ups) |
By himself, a enemy Scout will be of little trouble to you, as his Single-Barrel Shotgun blasts and Nailgun fire will deal scratch damage against your large health and if he tries to flank him, turn to him and destroy him with your ridiculously damaging Assault Cannon. However, if he manages to disorientate you with his Concussion Grenades, his team will be able to destroy you with ease. If he does manage to make you dizzy, you actually have a good chance of regaining control of your aim if you use the Assault Cannon's tracers as a visual guide. |
Heavy |
vs | Sniper (match-ups) |
Due to your massive damage output, a Sniper will typically regard you as a high-priority target. Your slow speed and large frame make it difficult to move unpredictably, making you an easy target. A fully charged headshot will instantly kill you regardless or how much health or armour you have, so it’s best not to go out into any open areas that a Sniper is watching. If the enemy team has many Snipers, use alternate paths on the map to avoid confrontation all together until you can sneak onto their Sniper deck, where they will stand no chance against you. |
Heavy |
vs | Soldier (match-ups) |
The Soldier is the only class that can deal more upfront damage than you, but you deal more damage per second than him. When it comes to whittling down his health, treat the situation like you would against a enemy Heavy - he is only a little less durable than you and his Rocket jumps can let him escape a battle or rain death on you from above. If he continuously rocket jumps, try using the Double-Barrel Shotgun to stay mobile and dodge his rockets. When not out in the open, lay down oppressive fire to wear down his health and stop him from rocket jumping away. If a enemy Soldier throws a Nail Grenade, find cover and throw a grenade or two back at him. |

vs | Heavy (match-ups) |
A fight between you and an enemy Heavy will be decided by who fires first, who lobs a grenade first and who has the most armour. Getting the drop on him will be most useful, and a well-timed MIRV Grenade can easily tip the scales in your favour. Even if he has a Medic backing him, you can still win the battle by throwing a well-timed Grenade to separate them. If he has multiple teammates backing him up, don't confront him unless you have teammates who can support you in the fight. |

vs | Spy (match-ups) |
Your slow speed and high damage output make you a very important target for any competent Spy. Do not rely on your teammates to check for Spies for you, especially if you're the one leading a charge. A quick Single-Barrel Shotgun blast at a nearby teammate should be enough to determine if he is a enemy Spy. By himself, a Spy should be easy to dispatch with your Assault Cannon, but be sure to keep the fight out of melee range. If he is continuously dodging and attempting to backstab you, use the Double-Barrel Shotgun. |
